View Full Version : Russell Wilson NT redemptions

I apologized if this has been discussed before. Did a quick search and didn't see anything, but..

Why is Russell Wilson the only one that requires redemptions with NT? Is it possible his autos will be stickers like most of his Topps Chrome and Topps Finest?

Pretty sure there are a few others Including Joe Adams. They will be on card Panini is not as dumb as Topps to put stickers on there top product. Redemptions for stickers has to be the dumbest thing I have heard of in the first place.

R Wilson, Blackmon, Joe Adams, and Sanu autos are all redemption, as well as a number of the Virtuoso and NFL Greatest. I got a Troy Aikman Century Legends signature redemption in a GB, which is weird, because those cards are all stickers anyways.

Pretty sure it wasn't Topps fault. I mean pretty much every other player has on card autos with Topps Chrome except R Wilson. Why?

I'm guessing he didn't have time to sign the cards in person.

not trying to bag on topps but they did have time for him to sign because panini got him to sign contenders after chrome, as well as valor was on card to me topps really just blew it with wilsons.

All of my Blackmons are redemptions. I can't wait for them to sign and ship!

But why did they just blow it with R Wilson and noone else? They got him to sign on card for the 1984 refractors and also some of the tall boys. I can't imagine Topps saying to Wilson "No don't sign these, we want you to be the only one to have sticker autos for your parallel's"

Topps sent him stickers instead of the cards to sign? How is that not Topps fault?

i hear ya. topps still dropped the ball by not gettin on card autos for russell. waited all this time for redemption and blue waves to get sticker autos on the wilson autos=topps failed.

I have over 10k in Wilson NT redemptions...I hope he signs soon, and if they are stickers I will cry.

I have 1 of every single Blackmon redemption. I'm praying for on card autos as well.

Yah this is Panini not Topps, Topps sucks and Panini has already said every RPA will be on-card and I assure you RW will sign and when they are live and on-card these will be selling for far more then the $780+ they are selling for right now js

Why would they do that? I just don't get it. How hard is it to send him the cards? if what you're saying is true, someone at Topps should've been fired for that, LOL

They did send him the cards, he didn't sign them. When they visited him, they took the stack with them (i.e. the Topps Reps), they were tired of waiting for him to sign the cards and voila, left over stickers were used.

I got a r. wilson collosal patch auto redemption in a group break and it better be on card otherwise I will be pissed!

Nick Toon's chrome autos were stickers too, but they weren't redemptions. He was a sticker auto in quite a few Panini products as well.

Got it. So it's mainly the players option to sign or not. Sort of like Julio Jones with many Panini and Topps products. Dunno why people blame Topps for Russell Wilson's sticker autos.

The companies need to meet the packing-out date, if the stuff isn't back from the players by a certain time, they'll probably throw up their hands and say: "fine, stickers it is" in stead of bombing everyone with more redemptions. IT would've have been a massive #@#@#@#@ storm if all of the guys who were stickers in a lot of products (when they were supposed to be hard signed) were also redemptions. I can see the threads now lol.

I would definitely agree that there were a ton of products this last year (probably a few too many), which would contribute to having deficits of hard signed cards, but they wanted to capitalize on the 2012 Class hardcore in order to survive this year a little easier.
