Redemption Replacement - Eagle for a Cowboy?

So I have been waiting over a year for a Demarco Murray Absolute RC Auto /299. I finally asked for a replacement since it doesn't look like he is ever going to sign. I am a Cowboys fan so I was hoping to not get any Eagles garbage but I guess I can't complain too much...

That sucks. I am pissed at Panini as I asked their head of autographs, and he promised that they would get DeMarco done by the end of last years training camp. Still waiting on my PTT dual with Emmitt.

Foles may not start a game this year. Murray is the starting back for the Cowboys. Kind of rough IMO.

Edit-Is it's PC (Foles), it doesn't matter though.

How are people honestly saying an auto /299 of an RB is better than a triple patch auto /25 of a QB?

I get the whole starter/backup thing, but that's just cause Foles got screwed with timing, he'll be a starting QB for some team in the next few years

1. The Murray is a true rookie, this isn't..
2. Foles is behind Vick and probably Barkley right now. He isn't Chip Kellys guy
3. Murray is already the better player SV wise.
4. If/when Foles is moved, it may be to a team like Buffalo or Jax.. thus killing any real attention hobby wise.
5. If things go according to plan for Philly, Foles won't see the field OR be traded for at least a couple years IMO. Making his card sales stagnant. Murray on the other hand, could explode in value as soon as this season.

None of this means anything though if the OP collects Foles. As long as he's happy that's all that matters. If he is in it for current or future value though, he got the shaft when it comes down to that or the Murray IMO.

The Last Foles closed for $18 and some change and $25 and some change... These were also the ones with dual patches.. couldnt find any triples on ebay that sold.

The last Demarco redemption /299 from absolute went for $22 and some change

So the argument over Demarco selling for more then Foles is really pointless. Both of the cards book at $60.

OP if your happy with the card keep it ( it looks great), or send it back for another replacement or sell it and buy a Cowboys card with the money.

Yeah, I dont collect Foles. I am a Cowboys fan. I'll probably just sell it and buy and MJD or two for my PC.

If the Murray was live and not a redemption I would bet it outsells the Foles without question.

Go look them up his patch autos /299 sell for $25-$35 and his rookie base autos /299 for for $13-$17 so a jersey auto /299 live or redemption goes for in between.. $18 $24. He is a good RB but has shown he can be hurt easily plus its not helping him having a QB that defenses are not afraid of.

Im just stating by book value and sell value it was a fair replacement

Panini USED TO BE great with replacements, I got upgraded on a bunch of cheaper cards for some sweet auto patches, but that was about 2 years ago, now you get guys like Dion Lewis, Javon Ringer, Nick Foles, maybe even a Mike Goodson used shell....

It's sad, I have a bunch of nicer Demarco's and a few others who haven't signed and I don't want to ask for replacement, because some are /25 auto patch's and I can imagine an Absolute Foles single color jersey arriving in the mail

I really dont see what to big deal is. RB's run their course after three to four good years, assuming he stays healthy that long.

Foles could very well be one injury away from coming in and having a few good games, causing his cards to spike.

Investment reasons its a no brainer.
