Sadly, Grant Hill winning titles at Duke was just before my time, but imo he is one of the greats for sure.

Hall of Fame for sure. And an awesome guy in person

Love Hill!

Honest question though, will he be a Hall of Famer?

7x All Star
1 All NBA 1st team
4 All NBA 2nd team

81st career scoring
79th assists

He actually has similar numbers to a guy like Shawn Marion, whom I don't consider a hall of famer.

I always liked Grant Hill, so I'm not knocking him, but is he a hall of famer?

And he has an Olympic gold-medal. And he has two national championships at Duke. It's not the NBA Hall of Fame. It's the basketball Hall of Fame. Comparing him to Shawn Marion is like comparing a Mercedes to a Ford

Great Player that adapted from Star to Role player to have very long career. Is/Was he recently the oldest active player?? HOF is still a ?? for me..

Who's next?Jason Kidd has to be one of the oldest active players/contributors.

Still remember chasing their Finest RC's from 94-95

He's borderline for me, but I think he'll get in since even though he wasn't much statistically post-injury era which was supposed to be his prime, he did become an All-NBA caliber defender.

And I like Hill, not trying to knock him at all, I was just wondering what others thought since just looking at his numbers, he isn't all that impressive

Good career, but almost no shot at the Hall of Fame.

Obviously if he was healthy he would have been a lock, but without championships, MVPs, etc., the Hall doesn't really put in careers derailed due to injury. The time at Duke may help his cause since it is not just an NBA HOF, but it will be a long stretch.

Grant Hill has the "what if" factor going for him.

I think that he'll get in . . . eventually based more off nostalgia than deserving it (I mean, seriously, the recent inductions of Bernard King, Joe Dumars, and Chris Mullin more or less blew away the distinction between "Hall of Fame" and "Hall of Very Good).

So Ralph Sampson got in but you don't think Grant hill will get in? Wow some of you guys are so clueless as to how the hof works

It's not the NBA hall of fame. It's basketballs hall of fame. College production on top of his NBA career makes him a Hall of Famer!

Hes a Hall of Famer based on what he did in college, hes def in. Just might take a while.

It was too bad that injuries derailed his prime and ability, but he is one of the rare players who could adjust and have a pretty great career.

He might make it into the HOF based on his name, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't either. Damn good player for sure!

Ralph Sampson won multiple NCAA player of the year awards (i.e. college MVP). Grant Hill was not the best player on his college team.

You need to learn a bit more about how the HOF works.

Good career for a guy who could have been so much more!!! Awesome guy!!! He will make the NBA HOF someday. It isn't a very difficult group to join compared to other sports.

lol okay if you say so. grant hill had a way better pro career than sampson. and he won gold with dream team II. and did you know that hill is on the board of governors for the hall of fame? he is the only active player in history to be elected to it. he is an absolute shoo-in for the hall. but keep on posting "Dr" as it's fun to watch you make a complete fool out yourself

Can you not have an adult discussion on a topic?

Basketball Reference ranks him with the following HOF probability which is hardly a lock.

123. Grant Hill 0.3553

He only made it out of the first round of the NBA playoffs once, and that was with Phoenix when he was a third or 4th option. He career playoff average is 13 PPG. He was a second Fiddle to Laettner on Duke who was one of the best college players of all time.

He is no where near a shoo-in.

I like Grant Hill as a player and what he overcame but he is a stretch HOFer.

Of course this is just a debate as it will take at least 5 years and probably much longer if he ever gets in. LOL

Nice!! :) I love most of their designs... can't go wrong with the classic yellow border cards, with Shaq holding the two basketballs, and those limited edition ones too.

Then the basic ones: 1994 Classic Grant Hill Detroit Pistons Duke Detroit Pistons 4 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1994-Classic-Grant-Hill-Detroit-Pistons-Duke-Detroit-Pistons-4-/181148751326?pt=US_Basketball&hash=item2a2d4e95de)

The nostalgia level on these cards is just too much! :)!

Think i'll buy some boxes just to have some fun and think back...

A few years back, I was having some Grant Hill nostalgia so I bought a Grant Hill BGS 9.5 Classic PTPers (Prime Time Players) for like 20 bucks. Then I went a little overboard and bought a Grant Hill BGS 9.5 Jambalaya for around $375 (Pistons jersey), but I decided between those two cards I felt great about my small-ish Grant Hill collection. They are both so shiny! And remind me of his Duke days and his early (healthy) Pistons days.

Hey, nothing wrong with a mini side pc...

I think i'm going to do the same with all different players from that time. I miss these cards. Thanks for sharing that.
