I have a theory that the Spurs picked up T-mac so that the Lakers could not pick him up after Kobe's injury at the end of the regular season. What are your thoughts on this? Does he seem like a "Spurs" type player?
My other theory is that Jordan was serving a secret suspension from the league so he played baseball. I will save that theory for another day.

1) T-Mac isnt relevant. Regardless of what team he's on he will not have any substantial impact.
2) The MJ theory has floated for years. There's zero proof of that being the case.

Jordan's last game before he played baseball was the 92 finals against the Suns. Richard Dumas was doing some crazy dunks in the finals for the Suns. He was suspended (for drugs) for the exact amount of time Jordan was playing baseball. Jordan and Richard came back into the league on the same day. Jordan's announcement got a lot of press. That always made me wonder.

Nobody who is reportedly so competitive would quit at drop of hat with no hints prior. Definitely something fishy.

Jordan's unrivalled competitiveness is what drove him to attempt a baseball career. Only someone as competitive as Jordan would attempt such a thing.
That and the fact that his Dad was murdered and Jordan wanted to fulfil his life-long dream that he'd promised to his father.

That's the story.

I find it more believable than him being banned along with Richard Dumas for doing drugs.
The evidence is hardly overwhelming, is it?

I doubt the Spurs tried to steal TMac away from anyone. As for Jordan, many people have floated conspiracy theories about why he left the game. Truth is, the league found out that he wanted to do a movie that featured Shawn Bradley and animation and suspended him but then when MJ came back, he just went ahead and did the movie anyways.

T-Mac would have had absolutely no impact against the Spurs.
