The Ravens announced that they cut veteran FB Vonta Leach. Former Harvard FB Kyle Juszczyk is now the starter

Wow...

Maybe the Baltimore to Indy route has another participant? That would be great.

Didn't play as much once they fired Cam Cameron and Jim Caldwell took over and couldn't justify his salary/cap hit based on hit playing time...think I read somewhere he was only on the field 40% of the snaps after Caldwell took over, and even less during the playoffs...

Yeah he was a $4.3M hit for a FB that played less than 50% of the time. He didn't fit in Caldwell's offense all too well, and I'm honestly surprised it took this long.

still, he's one of the better blocking FBs in the league. I think Ray Rice takes a yardage hit this season. I hope he doesn't break down like Eddie George did once they got rid of Lorenzo Neal.

Wherever Leach lands, look for that running back to have a yardage bump.

I would expect Rice's rushing yards to go down but his overall yardage to remain about the same as I think he gets more involved in the passing game, like he was earlier in his career...

I also think Bernard Pierce will get more carries/time of the field this year than he did last year and wouldn't be shocked to see the Ravens pursue trading Rice after the 2013 season...

Damn- Gore is going to be loving SF this year. He might not get beat up so bad and play an entire year without a nagging injury.

Please go to the Texans!

"A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the Ravens tried to trade Leach but were unable to find a taker. His agent, meanwhile, told a Houston television station that his client would like to return to the Houston Texans."

With the stupid new lowering your head rule as a RB, I wonder how many times Leach will get flagged this season. Sad to see him go, he was a throwback, but no real need for him.

Neal leaving hurt George but his decline was bound to happen due to age and the number of carries he had for a larger back.

+1 Plus that Rookie that we drafted has better catching skills which will help us out.
