View Full Version : The real reason Miami is losing

The reason Miami is losing is because Dwade doesnt care like he used to. If he wins another ring, the media will give all credit to "King" James... and that makes Dwade look like a glorified sidekick. I mean in last years playoffs Dwade killed it, but no one mentioned him even once. His clutch steals, shots, etc, it was all overlooked because NBA wants Lebron to be the Hero... Lebron Lebron Lebron... It just makes Wade look like more of a whimp. Anyone that has played basketball knows Miami wouldnt have stood a chance last year if Wade didnt hussle the way he did.
He was THE MAN back when Miami won in 2006, rightfully so. He is used to being THE MAN. Winning rings for wade actually makes him look worse in the overall picture of his NBA Career. No one remembers scotty pippen. No one remembers the glorified sidekick. If Miami loses people will blame Lebron and his greatness will be questioned, and Wade has an excuse that he is "old". I mean the man already won 2 rings. Wade DOesnt need to prove anything, or be anyones biznach. THere really is no incentive for Dwade to even try.

I'm sure that's the reason....said NOBODY but OP.
I think it's because Justin Beiber was courtside last week. More believable than OP.

Wade has been playing with an injured knee for most of the playoffs.

Theres no incentive outside of legacy and being the scapegoat for the loss....also competitive drive, pride and ego would have to be completely pushed to the side. Very likely.

Wade has been bad. That is a huge reason Miami is struggling.
Is it because he doesn't care? Probably not. I think it's the knee injury and he has just gotten worse faster then people expected.

Hes only 32. All he has to do is get out of the gym an hour earlier each day, and nature will make him far worse faster... Its not that hard to see he doesnt give a fark as much as he used to.. This guy used to avg like 33ppg in playoff games only 3 years ago shooting 56% from the Floor...

Wade career playoff average was 25.8PPG... This year: 14.2
How is this possible? Its nearly a 10ppg drop in 1 year!!! To me. That means he doesnt care. simple.

It is surprising to see Wade struggling this badly. He averaged 26.5ppg in the 2011 Finals 22.6ppg in last years Finals and just 14.2ppg in this years Finals. I've heard about his knee issues so maybe it really is limiting him.

His Season average is 21.2ppg. If you notice, his playoff Averages are always higher than his Season averages. This year is an outlier. What Knee??? He was playing amazing in the 27 game win streak(that he got zero credit for). I would be pissed too if I were him with Lebrick getting all cred

I think SOME credit has to go the the Spurs, don't you? There is a reason Pop has been to the finals 5 times in the last 15 years. I hate him, only because he doesn't coach my favorite team though, lol.

They wont win, ever again. Lebrons legacy is already over. Lebron wont ever win a ring again without Wade.... Its over. 5-6-7 rings, is all bs. Lebron will be horrible once he hits 32 years old. His game depends too much on athleticism, size, and speed not enough talent

Lebron can do no wrong.
If Miami loses its because Lebrons team mates failed him. Not because Lebron himself failed.
If Miami wins, its because Lebroney did it all himself and carried his team. Not because his team carried him.
Putting any blame on Lebroney is against the rules around here.

The Spurs hitting 16 3's didn't do anything to help them win. Must be Wade not trying. He's gotten worse and Bosh isn't making shots. Lebron needs to step it up as well. As a team Miami is not playing well.

I am one of the biggest Wade fans out there. I watch the Heat because of him. If he's not playing, I don't watch. I have watched the Heat since 2003 through the ups and downs. I think the OP is onto something. Although I wouldn't quite say Wade doesn't care, he may be tired of not getting any of the glory. Sure, he knew his points per game would go down, but he still thought it would be the Lebron and Wade show, not the Lebron show. Wade does all the little things like the OP said and gets no love. He is by far one of the smartest players on the court and whenever he starts making a couple shots and getting in a groove, Lebron gets worried and wants to jump in. And Wade is def hurt. What he used to do the whole games he is only doing for 2 quarters... whether its the 1st and 2nd, or 2nd and 4th, it seems like he doesn't have enough to go all out for 4 quarters.
Also, Wade had a bad rep a couple years ago for flopping. He now gets absolutely no calls whatsoever. The refs treat him terribly for how good he is. On the other side, Lebron gets touched and its a foul. Lebron blocks someone, its clean. Wade does that and they blow the quick whistle. I think this also gets into Wades head. He didn't expect the treatment from the refs to change so drastically once Lebron came and he doesn't like seeing Lebron get those calls and him not. That could be contributing to the "wade doesn't care" thing the OP is talking about. The refs don't reward him anymore for attacking the rim and drawing some contact so when he drives now he simply finds open guys to pass to...
3rdly- not related to Wade. I think Bosh has to go for the Heat to have a chance to win it all again in the future. He takes too many shots on a team stacked with shooters and with Wade and Lebron. Not only that, he doesn't rebound, block many shots, celebrates like a little girl when he makes one good play, and spends half the night sitting on the 3 point like waiting to shoot up a brick. Don't get me wrong, Bosh is an alright player. On any other team he could be a great 2nd player, but you cannot build a team around him and in no way shape or form should he be getting paid close to max money. If the Heat got a big true center that could D up and another solid bench player with the $$ they are paying Bosh, they would be that much better.

I think Miami is a team that play very inconsistant. Sometime they show up and play like they don't have weakness, but at times they show they can lose to the worst team in the league.

Horrible analogy, and equally flawed logic. Its more like this:
if your boss gives you and your work partner a task to complete, and no matter how hard you work, your partner gets the promotion and increase in salary if you guys do well. Would you give that job your 110%?

SO what? Everyone has a favorite player and a player they dislike the most. My favorite player is Wade since his Marquette days, and Lebron is on the other end of the spectrum. I dont like how Wade was always overshadowed by Lebron for no reason by the league. Also the way Lebron left Cleveland was not classy. I didnt like the way Miami was put together(a team of allstars) Lebron has a lot to prove in my book to be considered a top ten player of all time like people say...

D Wade knew than when the Heat signed LeBron and Bosh that LeBron would be the #1 option and he would be the #2 option. He didn't seem to mind then. The Heat are down because as a team they haven't play well, LeBron included. Its not over for the Heat yet though, but they have to win game 4 tomorrow night.

fullmetal's analogy is way better IMO. Your analogy about promotion/increase in salary isn't right. Because we know that whatever happens, LeBron's salary this year will be $17,545,000 and dWade $17,024,000.
About dWade's injury, that you fail to acknowledge: so because he was playing well a few months ago, he cannot have a knee injury NOW? If he was faking the injury, he would have done a Derrick Rose (ie call it quit). He gives the impression of not giving a damn because sometimes he just has no lift in his leg. And yes, with such an injury, it's very possible to play well for 1 quarter, then all of a sudden your knee locks up, and after a few moves it's back again!

I believe the term "hater" should mostly be used for those who are only critical and can't find anything positive in a team.
If you can be an unbiased observer of a game, but still cheer for the team against the Heat, I don't believe that warrants being called a "hater".

He should have kicked the ball in the stands, sat down on his hands and waited for the Wade to say "ok you can stand up now":)!
I think that's the Etiquette when another player wants to out score you?
Some peoples irrational hatred for Lebron is impressive, I for one don't like him or the way he play's, but I can admit he's the Best all round player in the NBA,ffs
Or he couldve dished the ball to wade.

It's amazing , no matter what Lebron does it's always a problem. Yeah I'm really sure he took that three to pass wade , not that the clock was winding down
That usually stems from no matter how much lebron fails, lebron fans blame someone else for it.
Lebron couldnt win in Cleveland because he didnt have help!! It should be Lebron couldnt win in Cleveland because he was a loser at the time! :D:D

fullmetal's analogy is way better IMO.
LOL you didnt understand the point. An analogy is an analogy for that reason. Obviously Wade and Lebron get paid around the same. What matters for Lebron and Wade are their legacies.... So what I mean by "getting paid more" is in terms of what matters specifically to them to maximize their "utility". Someone who lives pay check to pay check has a very different priorities than someone who makes 17 million a year.
Also it is only the 4th game. Wade knows the buck still stops with him. ALl he has to do is not try really hard 5th 6th or 7th game for them to lose. I think if Wade has a chance at MVP for finals he will play harder tho

This is why you don't make threads before series/games are over...
The series isnt over yet.. Whats your point. Wade can still lose the series for Lebron if Lebron keeps acting selfish and scoring empty points like he did yesterday. Wade only has incentive to win if he could get finals MVP. Otherwise hes just a glorified sidekick

I think this thread motivated him
If anything this thread would demotivate him by making him realize the truth about being a glorified sidekick. His legacy is getting destroyed because of Lebron. They maybe "good friends" now but in 30 years Wade would hate noone remembering him, and everyone talking about Lebron. Truth.

I have integrity and take pride in providing a quality service. I might hold internal resentment, but I wouldn't allow it to impact my product.
Wade signed his contract and knows what is expected of him.
Im sorry but thats not how people think. People act with their emotions more than they will admit. You are dreaming if you think people would work harder if it causes them to look worse.
