Optimus is that you?
but seriously any fear this face mask may put into an opposing players mind is quickly removed when the player looks at the rest of the uniform and sees he's playing the Cardinals.

Ill take the Arizona one anyday over that. Also, Im guessing that adds a ton of extra weight.

I think every punter and kicker should have to wear one like this. To make themselves look tough, LOL.

Not going to lie, I like it.
If I were a mediocre NFL player, I'd hook myself up with one of these ASAP to start a cult following fanbase and set myself apart. I'd imagine if a guy like John Kuhn had one of these he'd be immortal.

Get rid of concussions? Get rid of face masks - they'll stop leading with their heads really quick. No player today wants hockey-face with missing teeth.

I like the look of it personally, but hate Darnell Docket ahahah. Bobby Wagner is getting one similar this year. Although, it appears to have a little less diagonal protectors.

I didn't agree with much of Paterno's rhetoric, but I agreed with his logic that removing helmets from the game would make the game safer.
The NFL should follow the lead of the sport it originated from, rugby.
Remove the weapon from the game completely.
The guys who wear the 'super' masks do so because they are the worst eye gougers and know that revenge is on the way.

Ray Lewis and Justin Tuck are eye gougers? News to me but I like it :)
Regardless I thought the masks were clownish

Would be awesome to watch, hockey players hit just as hard and have no face mask so I don't know why the NFL players can't learn to lean with there shoulders to hit instead of there head.

I'm with you absolutely ridiculous looking, is it even legal by the NFL standards for uniforms and equipment?
I see above where they have been banned! :)!

Likely.
In a pile up anything and everything happens, each and every time. Eye gouging, nose stabbing, lip and teeth pushing, groin shots, finger breaking

That's on fumble scrums.
Most of the eye poking is accidental when guys are just trying to make plays. A lot of O-linemen get poked by D-linemen by accident
