WOAH! If its true

The Celtics acquiring Eric Bledsoe would be the "first major hurdle" in a deal that sent a package of Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers to Los Angeles, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Has a coach ever been traded lol?

Yes this has been mentioned in here before. When Riley pushed SVG aside to coast to the title in '06 he was still on the payroll as an advisory. They allowed him to leave and go to Orlando and the Magic sent the Heat 2nd picks as compensation.

tristan20
06-15-2013, 04:05 PM
Rivers can't technically be part of trade, but Celtics would release him from contractual obligations based on deal package.

440shane
06-15-2013, 04:06 PM
Right just like with Miami and Orlando. Boston would receive compensation in the form of draft picks or cash from the Clippers by letting Rivers out of his deal and sign a new one with them.

Still doesn't make sense to trade for bledsoe unless they are getting rid of rondo too

they need to get BIGGER not smaller by losing KG.

Hope it doesn't go through, losing Doc is probably worse than losing pierce and KG. Especially since I saw that they liked Del Negro, shiver.

Whats the point of having a good coach when the team isn't very good...

Flip Bledsoe to another team, or trade Rondo.

You gather assets in a rebuild. YOu need Bledsoe in this deal.

I dont want this to happen, I am pissed at Doc for this but if you hafta rebuild...Jordan, Bledsoe, 2 picks isnt a bad start.

Supposedly Doc wants to talk to him before anything happens.

Rondo FTW!

He won't, the reason Clips want KG is because of CP3

Not sounding good...

Final hurdle remains unchanged: Clips don't want to part with DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe in deal, sources tells Y! Ainge wants Bledsoe.

WoJo is usually pretty good but this doesn't make sense. Clips don't want to give up Jordan, so he would backup Garnett? Unless they want to do another trade. So under WoJo's story who are the clips giving up? Cash and draft picks?

They should do the trade if the Celtics are getting jordan too.

This wont end until the Clippers hire a coach.

Either do it Danny, or tell Doc to honor his f*cking contract and just bring everyone back a year. Then reboot next year.

Bledsoe, Jordan and a 1st round pick for Garnett and Doc? No way that happens....the Clippers would be insane to do that.

Stupid Move on Clippers Part IMO, I am sure they could get a better trade deal with Jordan/Bledsoe other than a retiring has been and a good coach .

Not really a has been first of all. And how do you become a retiring has been when hes not retiring?

And hes arguably one of the best coaches in the NBA.

Garnet is a Has been period , nearly 40 what can he produce anymore for his last couple of fading seasons he has left if that and yes when i say retiring he has what 1/2 seasons left yes it means on his way to retiring !

No offense because i know he is a Boston Player he holds value in your heart , but then again I don't want to see Chris Stuck with geriatrics when there is so much talent on offer that can be traded to the Clips to Bolster the Team to contenders .

In regards to the Coach yes but to trade those assets no Way :)!

Yeah hes really not a has been, but theres no need to argue that since your entire diatribe was just one long sentence of jibberish.

He just turned 37, but we cna round up I guess to 40 if you want.

Averaged 15/9 last year in 30 minutes a game. 16/9 the year before.

13 and 14 in the playoffs.

So I guess that isnt good enough, "What can he produce anymore" the answer is: a double double and high level defense.

Why would anyone want that am I right?!

If he is so good then you will be very content on keeping him there with Paul Pierce and retiring them both in Boston .

Then after the waste of 2 /3 years you guy's can start rebuilding .

Enjoy watching the 15/9 games and losing .

Personally I would Rather Dwight at Clip Land so the Lakers fan's can cry when they rip them Up since he doesn't have to Watch Kobe play ISO ball non stop, he would actually flourish with a player Like CP3, and not rot with Kobe and Co.

Why the hell would the clips want KG?

In his prime he was a beast, but let's face it...the clippers uptempo offense is the LAST place he should be in in his retirement home years.

Yes because the Celtics have lost so much since Garnett has gotten there, nice try :)!

Celtics already have one title, I am fine if they stay another year and then rebuild. I am fine with that, BECAUSE THE LAST 6 YEARS THEY HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY COMPETITIVE AND TITLE CONTENDERS.

I will enjoy my 15/9 from a Hall of Famer after watching a title contender for the last 6 years.

The Clippers want KG because he is still one of the top 5 defensive players in the league when he is on the court. If they want to compete at an elite level he is exactly the type of player they need. Add in the experience of Pierce which is part of this whole thing and the Clippers are in good shape.

Lol The ring Came 3/4 years ago totally different to the Garrnet and Pierce of today .

Basically If it was up to me , I would not give up Bledsloe and Jordan For Pierce and Garnett , 3/4 Years ago definitely now No way :)!

I belive they could get a better trade in regards to the specific terms Boston and Clips are looking at .

If Doc is the coach the uptempo offense will change.

I really can't see the uptempo/ run n' gun offense changing much even with Doc there. More like Doc will have to adapt it into his own schemes.

Not exploiting the opposing team's defense with cp3 and Griffin's speed/athleticism is like driving a Lamborghini at 30mph. Makes little to no sense.

Not only that...it's the team's trademark...and fills the stadium seats.

Doc is a coach that expects players to adapt to his systems. I am sure he would run some but he will preach defense first and offensive execution in the half court. The Clippers are not even a top 5 fast break team to begin with. CP3 excels in the halfcourt as does KG. Griffin will be the guy adapting.

Rajon Rondo is going to go absolutely f*cking bonkers next year. He is going to play with such a chip on his shoulder.

He is going to take it personally that Doc didnt wanna stay and build with him or not even build, just do another year with him.

That plus he will be one year away from a big contract. Lots of incentive as long as his knee is good to go.

Yah right, Boston becomes a lottery team, has a 3% chance of winning the #1 overall pick, then wins it.

Drafts Wiggins, and Boston is right back in the mix, just how the NBA drew it up.

Assuming a healthy roster they will be a very average team without KG & Pierce. I do not see Ainge doing anything big to fill those voids just yet. Hopefully he can get something for Pierce as well and then he has a bunch of younger guys to work with and cap flexibility going forward.

Jordan at his contract is terrible. Unless they can dump more money on the Clippers its bad news.

Danny needs to get Bledsoe, screw messing around with Jordan or late picks.

Looks like it will be two first rounders and Jordan for Garnett and Rivers. Just not sure how much this improves Boston. I like getting younger, but coaching will be the key. Jordan is more athletic too to pair with Rondo, Pierce is all but a lock to be gone now too, wish Kris Joseph was still in Boston now

BLOW UP THE TEAM!

Kevin Garnett-future 1st round and 2nd rounder

Paul Pierce-future 1st rounder

Rajon Rondo-future 3 1st rounders down the line

Jeff Green-1st rounder or a couple 2nd rounders down the line

Jordan Crawford-2nd rounder 5 years down

Jared Sullinger-two future 2nd rounders

Make all the picks unprotected, and build through the draft via a few years of tanking. Then when those high picks get off their rc contracts, you get cheap talent to build around them with these picks!

Yeah....that's just crazy talk.

What? The title window? Well yes, it was a 3 year window that extended to 6.

They will be competitive next year, this isnt a lottery team just yet

Rondo is going to go absolutely berserk next year, just FU's all over the place.

There are a few more shoes to drop, but even without Doc this team can still be competitive.
