A Thankful Happy Fathers Day!

If you haven't seen my name in the B/S/T section lately, you probably haven't been in there. Anyway i started on Wednesday i think with "my family wants to go to disney" thread. I also had a few $200-$500 lots on Friday & Saturday.

Well, thanks to members here and the sales of most of my good stuff, i broke the news to the family that we will be taking a big trip in the near future! I spent all day yesterday with the family and on the phone and computer deciding what all we wanted in our trip (where to stay, what parks/shows to visit, pricing options). We decided to not go to disney but instead, try universal studios because my kids are 13 & 10. They thought disney looked more fun for younger kids compared to universal. They are so grown up, lol.

I bought the vacation package today. I was able to raise just under $2200 in about 5 days with these sales. After all of their choices, our vacation package (hotel, park & show tickets, food & meal options) cost me just under $2000.

I could have saved some money on the trip by doing things different (cheaper hotel, smaller trip, less options in my vacation package) but i wanted to get the most out of selling my cards.

With all of that said, i want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to everyone that helped me make this happen. Seeing the faces on my kids this morning means more then the cards i let go for the trip (linked below).

That's awesome...congrats, I have a thread myself going (need to update) to help pay for my daughters braces, hopefully I have the same results...have fun on your trip, make use of fast passes...:)!

Thanks everyone, the next few weeks are going to be crazy for me and the family. I have a lot of driving in my near future. The Navy is sending back to Mississippi so I have to move (17 hour drive) get the wife and kids set up for school and unpack everything. Trip to Orlando 7th-12th (9 hour drive each way). Start my new assignment on the 18th. Should be an adventure in itself.

Yep sure did. Getting in the park an hour before it opens for staying at their hotel sure paid off there and for transformers and despicable me.
