Man, have you seen retro pmg red price's recently? pretty bad.....actually a lot of the non jordan/lebron inserts look nice, but sell for a few bucks only.

UD hasn't given us much of a preview.

The hype usually doesn't start until some of the first real pictures are released.

I have a feeling the release will be delayed again

It'll have some hype (hell look how many people are busting SP Authentic), but it won't be like last year. Last year brought back a lot of nostalgia. This year it will but not to the same level.

Retro this year will be decent. It won't be anything like the hype like last year, but some of those cards will be nice. However, after this year Retro will be dead since there will really be no 90's inserts left with real nostalgia to them.

Retro this year is like the 0405 exquisite or any 2nd year product of a hyped up product. It will be like the prizm nxt year if they made again. The lost of appeal. Jordan pms again. Mj now has a total of more than 300 pmgs right now, it will kill the market if another 100 or 150 comes out again. The credentials will be the bomb in this product

In all fairness, that's not a bail-out excuse to simply drop quality SIGNIFICANTLY and flood the market with MJ autos.

UD's products have been garbage, even if they had the license and the past few year's products were in NBA uniforms ... would still be garbage quality!


This year's Retro looks HORRIFIC quality-wise ... extremely cheap looking re-makes ... absolutely no effort in them, no sharpness ... no MJ buybacks ... recycled PMGs .... PASS!:devil:

agree completely. amazing to see people still cling to the old days of upper deck. incredible the company is even still in business. it has been a joke of an operation for a few years now. but hey, mabye they'll get an nba license again and then start putting out decent stuff. :rolleyes:

umm you okay there? panini is pretty much the same as ud. they put out some nice stuff and some crap. that was always the way it was with ud, too. but the ud collectors seem to forget the vast amounts of garbage that has been produced by ud.

this only pushes up the value of the older licensed cards. i have no problem with UD churning the presses since i have little interest in breaking their collegiate product.

I love the concept of Fleer Retro but I am so sick of the same collegiate images being rehashed. If this was a licensed product it would be insane but its not. I still would love to pull an MJ auto for the PC but the prices are steadily dropping as the market floods and at 300+ per box this product just feels like a waste. The retro inserts are not as iconic as last years and we have already seen the flimsy quality that we can expect.At $150-200 I would gamble a box or two. At 300+ its an easy pass.

This REALLY means, Paul was unable to get his cases back doored to him loaded with MJ buyback autos, and pretty PMGs like he did with last years Retro. We all remember you hyping Retro for at least a month and posting your success in every possible thread to drive up sales of your cards.
