Aaron backing out of a deal?
That doesn't sound like him at all!
Guess he figured out he wouldn't be able to flip these for profit like he did on his Silhouettes Prime!
It must be nice to say you're a collector to get good prices from people on cards you have no problem flipping for huge profits ... yet you're still a "true" collector

You Jelly bro? I actually sold several of my other newer Suns uni cards as well are you gonna fuss about that too?The guy hit that silo card in a case break who had $65 invested the suns slot and was very happy to take my offer on it.I notice you have been stuck in the 20's Itrader for nearly what 8 months now?,Whats a matter nobody on the forums stupid enough to sell you their cards for next to nothing? The difference between you and I is I actually make and get deals done because I am not a greedy scumbag like you.Have you busted any more graded N/M cards lately to sell raw?

Anyways, you should stop calling yourself a Penny Hardaway collector when you only say that to get better prices to flip the cards.
I'm sure that guy sold it to you thinking you were a Penny collector and would keep it for your PC, and gave you a nice deal.
Then you go and sell it to buy a dumbass boat lmao.

I collect cards and have one of the best collections to prove so.How about you? Your whole intent in this hobby is to make a buck and feed your family. That is pathetic and sad.All of the real collectors agreed that I made the right decision and trust me it was not easy.I essentially traded 1 card from a hobby that I love for a lifetime enjoyment of another hobby that I love which is fishing. If you wan't I can show you all of my other Penny cards Paul :).Nobody but you thinks I am a hypocrite for selling a 12-13 Penny Hardaway card for $2250.You can try all you want to twist things around to make yourself feel better about who you are as a person and what you represent within the hobby.Shouldn't you be refreshing the ebay basketball card page "newly listed" with the hopes of lowballing an un educated seller out of their cards so you can feed your family tonight? What a creep ....

I don't condone that either. I think custom cards are cool, but in this day and age end up somehow falling into the wrong hands and on eBay trying to rip some naive, new collector off for good money.
Patch fakers, custom cards, fleer bankruptcy cards, auto-fakers .... all are becoming more prevalent and really taking this hobby downward for many people.

I never understood why people care if someone buys a card and then decides to sell it. It is their property and have the right to do whatever they want. To each there own I guess.
If the buyer sent payment why did the seller refund him?

the issue being brought up is when someone will say they are pcing it or giving other reasons to get it at a better price, then they turn around and make a profit on it. i dont know if anyone in this thread has done this, but i agree that is a poor practice.

If I sold a card I personally wouldn't care what the seller did after. It is the buyers property after that. If I sold someone a card and they decided to resell it because somone offered them a great deal I wouldn't be upset with them. I would be upset with myself for not getting a better deal. I understand the comparison isn't perfect but they are similar.

Sorry. I can't trust you anymore. This is the reason I refused to deal with you. How do I know you file a claim via paypal because you have not received the card? If you sent any message to me within a week, I would not post this thread and we could make success deal. My main eBay account scored 18,000 feedbacks, I'm not a newbie and had lot of deal with a buyer like you. Sorry for all trouble but your timely manner was too bad.

I am using some of that money for a PMG,Rubies,Finest Gold Embossed ref so yeah? I am a pos villan for selling a PC card for more than what I paid? Wow paul since you feel this way about all of the people who buy low and sell high..how the F can you live with yourself? You have scammed tons of nieve people out of their cards just to make a few bucks yeah?
Log on this morning and see that the cards are done and I send payment, then notice this thread about me!?!?

Don't worry about them dude the OP obviously jumped the gun and now wants to still twist it that your wrong after looking like a fool , and it seems these guy's sleep on their computer's because they obviously have no lives and it is a shock to their system if you actually participate in something more than cards in this world . LOL
And as one person mentioned Dumbass Boat , I would take that anyday than sleeping on the internet scouring Newly listed cards and BIN's 22 hrs of the day to make pennies to sit there further and scour again for another deal and the funny thing they think that chump change is big $$$$ maybe to kids it is lolololololol.
Enjoy the fresh Air and nature as that's what life is about not sitting there obsessing over cardboard looking to make the next score .

So you are only a true collector if you keep every single card you ever get??
I just sold my entire collection a couple months back, bought a fence for the back yard, paid some bills and took the family on vacation.

giving somebody a story or trying to gain sympathy to get a card and flipping it compared to going on ebay, getting a steal, and flipping it are 2 very different things. just saying this if you were posting that link to try to say what paul did in that case was wrong.

Pingbling23 - I am not sure if you are insisting that I made someone feel sorry for me when dealing for tht Penny prime (clearly not the case) The very first week that Preferred came out I watched the card get pulled in a case break and got in touch with the rightful owner and mentioned that I was a Penny collector and am very interested in the card.He said make an offer and I did of $300 not knowing that these things would demand such a high premium especially the Penny being /10 I thought it was a good buy price for my PC but not a steal.Figured he would counter offer but he was more than happy with my offer and sold it to me for the $300.Did I mention I collected Penny? Yes but did I insist he had to sell the card to me and only me? Not at all
The main reason I sold the card is because the timing was right,I am slowing down on all this newer stuff that is being flooded out and figured the more and more products that release these silo primes will drop in price quite a bit.I did what most non wealthy collectors would probably do here...Would I sell my 90's Rubies or PMG's NO!!!!! But a 2012-13 card in a suns uni? For 2250? Yes I just had to...It was not an easy thing to do because I hate parting with something that I will never afford to replace.

Yep the very first week of release it was pulled in a group break.I knew it was a good buy price but not a slam dunk price. The seller had $65 invested into his team slot and like me not knowing thesethings would demand such a premium out the gate he was happy to take my $300.

Thanks Nissan and Gio! I agree with you guys 100 :).
It is a Pelican Bass Raider 10E with a minn kota trolling motor and ores etc.I got it complete with all the bells and whistles battery, ores, trailer to haul it to the lake/rivers.
I typically fish small lakes and the river acrossed from where my parenta live.Mainly fish for bass and pike!

Not to mention guys I did own that prime silo for what 2 months? Selling it was not my intention.... I really enjoy that card but as I mentioned it was just the right time to let it go.A year from now I probably would be hard pressed to draw 1K for it if i kept it in my collection. The 90's Penny stuff is what truely has my collecting heart (all them cards I could never find or afford as a kid)

Some of you have it twisted, obviously.
Aaron here saw the Penny Prime 01/10 get pulled.
Sent the guy an OBVIOUS LOWBALL offer!
I mean c'mon, $300 for that card? I think at that time one had sold $1500/2000+ already!
Then he mentions he is a Penny "collector" so that he can hopefully acquire cheaper due to the good nature of someone helping out a "collector"
Not even a few weeks later the card is sold for MASSIVE profit and Aaron buys a BOAT!
Now, to all you TRUE collectors out there. If someone sells you a card for your PC after you go telling them you are a true collector, and you give them a GREAT deal, and they pop it on the market immediately shopping for offers and then flip for a HUGE profit ... do you see something wrong with that?
I understand the card is Aarons property to do what he wants with it, but he BOASTS he is such a HUGE Penny collector! And had no issues flipping that sucker!
Aaron, you are a huge scumbag my friend. You try to call me out and make accusations on a card I bought at a $20 BIN randomly and flipped? LMAO! YOU-ARE-SUCH-A-FOOL!
Point and case: Aaron used his "ULTIMATE PENNY COLLECTOR" status to get this guy to sell him the card .... and he didn't pay fair market value, he LOWBALLED!
THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!
And now continues to call out others?!
I never said I'm a collector. I wouldn't go around lowballing people saying "OH PLEASEEEEE SELL THIS TO ME! I'M THE BIGGEST "-------" COLLECTOR AROUND! PLEASE TAKE MY LOWBALL OFFER! And then go flip the card not even a few weeks later after it's supposedly a "PC" card!
Aaron, you are a snake in sheeps clothing.
An ultimate hypocrite and a scumbag.
Hope you enjoy that boat you own simply by deceitful tactics!
Hopefully nobody cuts you a deal anymore on a Penny card, because it's obvious that you'd flip it instantly!

I just thought it was odd a known flipper was calling out another member for flipping. It seemed to be a bit personal with some history or something.
Supposedly this paul guy lowballs all the time or something.. and supposedly pennyfan made a story about how its PC to get it for cheap.. both are wrong if so, I guess, but as long as they aren't stealing and shilling, who cares? They both get good deals and make money off of cards. Both guys make offers that satisfy the sellers.. so why is it anyone else's business?
I don't know, wasn't trying to take sides or anything, just thought it was weird a flipper was calling out another member for flipping. Yall should be friends :). Happy Friday :D

Paul, i usually like reading your posts but calm down. the guy in the break made what 4x his money by selling it? then the next owner flipped it for x4 right? or 5? does it matter? who gives a crap besides the person who's currently selling the card. i mean if i buy a 1/1 of jimmer for 200, but then i turn around and sell it a month later for 60, do you bash the person selling it?
also when the market is hot with prime silos you'd be crazy not to flip anything. he will be able to buy the card for less in only a matter of time. he just has to wait.

I agree with you saying "who cares!" ... I don't really care! haha
It's just that Aaron, in the past, had continually called me out for "lowballing" people .... and his $300 offer on a $2500 card is the ultimate hypocritical move. The clearcut case of the pot calling the kettle black.
In most cases, I don't even make any offers on cards I buy. Of course sometimes I lowball, but everyone does now and again. Pricing is subjective.
However, If that Penny was on eBay for a $3000 BIN, there's now way I would offer $300 lol.
Am I jealous of him for the flip? NOPE! Many people make HUGE flips all the time, I commend them for their efforts. However, when an insanely low price is given to someone as a "favor" after they give a disgustingly lowball offer because they are a "collector" and then the item is quickly sold for massive profit ... I don't think that's a good practice for a "true collector" ... no?
I could understand if a player collector owned a bunch of nice rare cards in a huge PC and medical bills came up and they had to sell off some of the nicer cards ... that would still make them a true collector.
I do agree though, focus should be on the people out there who are selling cards with fake autos and patches, shilling their auctions and blatantly ripping people off. This whole forum needs to focus on that, and if they really care about the hobby, will try to make it a point to let these guys know we're after them.

isnt the seller somewhat responsible for this? I have a hard time pointing the finger at a guy who made an offer and got it accepted.
bottom line the only one anyone on here really collects is benjis.. get them when you can

I watched the card get pulled in a case break and got in touch with the rightful owner and mentioned that I was a Penny collector and am very interested in the card.He said make an offer and I did of $300.

I dont understand the hate here. A guy pulled the prime in a case break, then penny offered $300. Guy accepted. Paul does not even have a business here. And just mad at penny becoz he flipped the prime so hard??? Am i right? Lol

I don't care that he fliipped it.
He lowballed the guy hardcore ... $300 for a $2500 card?! And then had to use the "I'm a Penny Collector" card in order to score a deal, the guy probably wanted to help out his PC. Then a few weeks later he flips it?
My problem is the hypocrisy. Aaron goes on and on about how I "lowball" and somehow force people to sell me cards cheap. Yet he makes this huge flip (as a "collector") and it's somehow OK that he only offered $300 knowing the car was worth so much more? THAT'S my qualm ...

This site is awesome. So much drama its like watching a soap opera!
I fail to see the issue with flipping a card like that. If the card was already sold on ebay for $1500 and the seller was willing to take $300 then that's on the seller. I know if I am selling something I do my due diligence to find prior sales and get the best price. If its the big hit form the hot new product, I am waiting for some similar cards to hit the market and see what fair market value is.
Maybe I'm just cold blooded but if I pulled that card I could care less if some Penny collector or some random dealer wanted it. I am going to get a fair price for it, bottom line. "I'm a Penny collector, give me a good deal"...sorry buddy, kick rocks and pay or no card ;)
Looks like someone sold something without knowing what they were selling and a Penny collector saw a great chance to make some major money when the market determined the price for it. Who is anyone to say the OWNER can't sell a PC card? I PC Jordan, if I pulled a PMG last year from Retro and could make a huge profit to help with big life expenses I would in a heartbeat. "When the dough gets low the Jewels go!" hahaha.
Doesn't make you any less of a collector, just smart. I for one think that silo is meh if you are a Penny collector. The playing days stuff is where its at. I applaud the flip. Shrewd move.

It's a personal vendetta, I have no problems with Aaron flipping a card.
But calling me out for "lowballing" and then offering $300 on a card he knew was worth $2000+ and then selling it for $2250 ... that's PURE hypocrisy.
That's all I'm making a point at.
Yes, I flip cards ... and Aaron flipped this ... I don't care that he flipped it, I care that he flipped it off a lowball offer that he he was so adamantly accusing me of doing and saying it was HORRIBLE and SCUMMY!
To clarify.
i have always wondered why anyone is really that concerned about lowballing. it is almost talked about in the same manner as full fledged scamming or theft, and it is a mystery to me.
is it really a "waste" of your time to reject a lowball offer? if so, why? are you getting 4,000 clear lowball offers a day?
or is it because you feel insulted - like someone is saying your cards arent valuable or desireable?
if you decide to sell, the responsbility to be a knowledgeable seller is your own. if you are a knowledgeable seller, lowballing shouldnt matter to you - you will sell only for a price you are comfortable with.
if the original seller was comfortable with selling the Penny for $300, then good! everyone wins. if he sold it without realizing its full worth, that's his own fault.
everytime you get a good price on ebay or a lower than expected price on here, are you now supposed to send the last 300 completed auction numbers to the seller to prove that the price they were willing to give it to you for is fair?
lowballing is, if anything, a huge waste of the time and effort by the one offering the money. like everyone, i get low offers on ebay when i do sell, but why are people so insulted? decline it and wait until you get one you like.
i dont think i have ever lowballed anyone on this site ever, and if i have it has been by accident, but people just need to lighten up on the topic i believe.

I agree. You never know, if you pass up on making a lowball offer, and the guy after you makes the same offer and it gets taken ... why not you?
I get lowball offers all the time on my items, I don't take offense, I simply counter. We're not all millionaires here, not even close. So just as a seller wants to sell their items for the most, buyers want to pay the least. Simple economics.

That Penny prime /10 was the first to surface at the time (first case break I actually watched) There were a few legends that had sold at the time BIN's for example,A David Robinson was sold for $149.99 BIN etc.I don't think my offer of $300 was insulting (was expecting a counter of $400/$500) Seller was more than happy to let it go for my standing offer of $300...Probably because he did not even have $70 into it and had a few other hits within the break as well.
Once again Paul you wanna keep spinning this as if I purchased that card with the intentions of flipping all along which is def not the case!Another Penny prime did not even hit Ebay until weeks after I had mine so your logic is debunked sir.The first one I seen actually sell was over $1500 and floored me.Then i witnessed another sell for nearly 2K and another is or was on there fr a BIN $3K.I owned mine well before these hit the bay.The Penny collector who paid me $2250 is the better collector than me simply because he seems to have infinite coin $$$ I am sorry if my sale offends you Paul being that I made such a nice return on the card without having to spam it here on the boards or withold information about the card itself to get over on someone for their $$$.See man people can actually be honest and make good sales! :)
