So here is the deal - I want to potentially crossover a PSA grade to a BGS grade.

I PC BGS when it comes to Auto'd stuff and I PC PSA when it comes to Non-Auto'd stuff. This item happens to be autographed so I'd like to get it BGS graded so I can stick it away in my PC as I'm OCD about it.

Can someone give me the dummy version (I've never myself graded a card in my life - only buy them) of how to do this to make sure BGS knows that if the card does not meet my minimum grade that I don't want it cracked out?

Like step by step instructions or where to write what (sorry for being a pain in the a**) I just want to make sure I do it correctly so that BGS knows I A) want a minimum grade and B) Don't want it cracked if for some reason it doesn't meet their grade

Thanks in advance

On the form, put a BGS minimum grade of whatever you would like and if it does not meet that grade, they will not crack it out. There are instructions on how to do this when placing your BGS order.

not sure if they can say it will get grade requirement without cracking from existing case ,
I do know you can list requirements ,but if they fall short to BGS standards then I am pretty sure it is a crap shoot just like if you was sending card in for first time to be graded
my thoughts are if it is a PSA 10 then it should at the very least get a BGS 9 ,but most likely a BGS 9.5 ,
I am facing similar situation where I am looking to get a few sub grades bumped to improve overall grade to bgs 9.5 m but I am being told that it is a chance I have to take ,
some will say just crack yourself and submit to grading company if youyr, either way you decide ,good luck

I know they will grade it without cracking it if you specify - that I know for sure - Just not sure where to write that on the form.

You will be the one that has to crack it out as BGS will not do it.

I don't believe this is true - I know plenty of people that have sent in PSA graded cards and had BGS crack them if they met the BGS grade they wanted.

I had them send it back with a letter telling me they would not crack it out. Just my experience.

It says right on the BGS website that they will crack them under the graded card review section. It just costs more.

I'm more curious where to write the minimum grade and please don't crack part on the form - wasn't sure if they had a specific spot.

then if that is the case , I would say just call them and have them tell you the specifics , be better from the horses mouth then from the posse lol

Yeah - probably not a bad idea.

I'll just do that.

Go ahead and close this up MODS if you see it.

Thanks
