Got these boxes in tonight. I normally don't buy this much of base Topps, but I thought it'd be fun. The jumbo box would guarantee the base set, the hobby boxes would give a good amount of inserts, and there would be 5 hits guaranteed.

Overall I'm happy. I know people complain about no return value on this stuff, but as someone who wants to collect the base set + inserts, I got exactly what I wanted. Should be able to trade the emeralds, gold, and extra base towards inserts I still need and put an even bigger dent on the set.

My hits weren't terrible either. Got Alex Rodriguez and David Price relic cards. One hobby box had the Wily auto and the camo parallel. The names on the parallels could have been better but oh well.

Now I patiently wait for Finest and Topps Chrome to come out, as those are the next products I really care about :P

Any chance you got an extra base of Adam Warren and Francisco Cervelli that you'd be willing to trade?

I came here to say this exactly. My wife and I don't have the money for expensive boxes and usually end up with at least one hobby box of topps base. The hits are nice, but the product always takes me back to a time when collecting was a bit more fun. The action pictures are great, and the candid moments too. As long as we pull Cardinals cards, we are good! Sadly our box this week yielded a Starlin Castro relic! I would've rather had ten extra Cardinals! Ha! Great break and even better attitude.

Yeah, I'll get back to you two tomorrow probably. Heading out of town and don't have time to sort.

Thanks!

The people that bust boxes only looking for big hits are a lot more vocal, but I think there are a lot more people in it for the actual collecting aspect than you think. I got some Braves parallels and an Evan Gattis RC out of each box and was happy with that as well. If you ever want to trade, I have no problem going through and finding Cardiinals cards to send your way :)
