I expected to see more of a jump in LeBron's stuff after the Heat won and he got another Finals MVP, but to my surprise, I'd say at the most there was a 10-15% increase, if that on most of all his Rookie Cards and Autographs...

Did anyone else find this surprising? I bought a ton of his Topps Chrome stuff (BGS 9 Base for $100 a piece, BGS 9 Refractor $300, BGS 9 Black Refractor $490 and BGS 9 Xfractor $700) and I'm kicking myself for not selling them right before the Finals began because it seems that his prices were at it's highest point. After the Heat won, eBay got flooded with too many LeBron Chromes as well as other Rookies/Autos. There was only one card I made a significant profit on and that was his Xfractor Rookie. Seems like after a few were shill bidded to $1500-$1600, where as the REAL VALUE of these cards settled for around $1100-$1200 after the Heat won. These were selling for $750-$850 prior to the Finals.

As far as his Topps Chrome RC Refractors and Black Refractors, there really wasn't an increase, but actually a decrease from what I saw and his Base Chromes (not graded) were selling less than they were when they were at their high point about 2-3 weeks ago. I did see a slight bump for graded base chromes though... especially BGS 9's.

As far as SP Authentic Autograph rookies, they really didn't rise in price at all, which really came to me as a surprise because you would think this is one of his "key" autograph rookies. SPx appear to have had a slight bump, but nothing significant.

Anyone else have any success stories selling their LeBrons? Or are most of you still holding onto them?

Sold a Fleer Retro insert card last night for $30

Have one auto online with an outrageous price with one guy watching it. ;0)
I'll probably lower it down and hope that mysterious guy buy it.

Not much stuff of lebron newly on at least for exquisite. A rpa was on for 38 minutes the one pulled out of the leaf best of and sold for over 20k two days ago.

His items, primarily his nicer RC Autographs, ramped up as the Heat moved forward in the playoffs, and especially towards the beginning of the NBA Finals, so there wasn't as much of a spike once they actually won the series.

the trick is to plan ahead for flipping, once all the advertising on tv and the games stop people don't think about it as much, you have to take advantage of the heavy advertisement the nba does and all the people partying getting excited etc.

It's more about projected upside. prices were higher during the lead-in to the finals and after heat wins because there was way less supply and people were buying with the hope that the heat would win and they could flip for more. Once the series is over, the demand might go up a bit for a very brief window, but the supply skyrockets so prices dont do much.

I had 3 that I was shopping over the last few months...

SPA RC Auto - Traded for $900 in value (around a $150 "profit")
SPA RC Auto PSA 10 - Still have this. Got some really nice eBay offers but the fees were going to kill me. Figured I'd trade it on here someday or just stash it away.
Topps Chrome PSA 10 - Sold on eBay for $430 (around a $150 "profit")

So all in all I cleared a couple hundred in value on LeBron while keeping the highest one I had.
