Do you guys think he could win ROY if he keeps playing like this?
He is killing the ball right now batting .351 with 10 games of 2 or more hits, and a fielding percentage of .926...WOW

Some guy named Puig might have something to say about that...

Dude I'm watching the game right now and the kid just keeps on hitting! Who else could/would challenge him? EDIT: Forgot about Puig

If not Puig, his teammate Ryu has a say in this as well.

Puig is a front runner but I agree Rendon has been an animal since being called back up. Nationals got a good one in him. If he keeps hitting it will be close. Plus the nationals filled a huge hole at 2B.

Gerrit cole, Puig, Miller, Rendon, Ryu

Puig is the only real competition right now IMO, but the fact Rendon is playing a position he is unfamiliar with the way he is is just amazing

I would think that Shelby Miller is the frontrunner at this point...

Isn't Matt Harvey a Rookie as well?

He WILL finish in the top 3 for NL ROY. Book it. Kid is a stud.
It infuriates me that Davey continued to play a hurt Espinosa, while AR was wasting time on the farm. GO NATS!

Puig, Miller, Ryu and Teheran are all above him right now. Cole and Wheeler are possibilities if they stay up and do well, as well as JoFer

It pisses me off so much even having Espinosa on our team...I have never really liked him

Rumors in Pittsburgh are that Cole will get sent back down when Burnett comes back from injury. Obviously, this is more for contract purposes than performance. I'm hoping he performs so well the next couple of starts that he makes it impossible for management to send him down.

Jean Segura eligible? 8th in the league in WAR. But yeah, if he's eligible its Matt Harvey.

Segura burned up his rookie status last year.

I'd give it to Shelby Miller right now. Obviously Puig if he continues would be my choice, though.
A couple guys I'd pick over Rendon - Ryu, Fernandez, Gyorko, Gattis. Rendon needs more playing time.

Is Anthony Rendon a Hall of Famer????
Are we joking? Puig has been playing what, 2 or 3 weeks? Same with Rendon.
It's clear as day right now it's Shelby Miller, and not even close.

Bingo bingo bingo.
People love overreacting over a small sample size. Miller is going nuts, for a longer period of time. Its his to lose.

I hope he does get ROY. Kid's the real deal, was at the game in Clevland when he hit his first HR and man was it a rocket. Which ended up being the game winning run, how bout them apples! Too bad it wasn't at home and a walkoff, perhaps his next one will be. :)!
