Yes, I would like him to come back and play if he's healthy. A team blocking a player for any reason is stupid.
I have to take A-Rod's side. They are simply trying to get out of paying for the contract they signed and he's not falling for it.

I'm pretty sure he has enough money. Dude makes in an inning more than some make in a year

cashman would not still have a job if it was not for arod (the year he carried the team on his back)
anyone could sign free agents for the yankees if they really wanted to play for them ..
ie cc sabathia
but when it comes to players like cliff lee , he cant sign them
look at his trades
its probably all about the Benjamins and the insurance bucks
If the Yankees were smart they should activate him, and have the League piss test him!! End of issue ;)

I don't feel sorry for him in the least bit. He could retire tomorrow as one of the greatest players ever.

Someone feels bad for such a drugged up fraud like this guy? BTW, he 'earned' $62,643 PER AT BAT last year!! Hey kids don't do steroids, unless you want TWO- 250 million dollar contracts playing baseball..

I don't like A-Rod, but Cashman and the Yankees are being extra dooshy to him for stuff other Yankees have tweeted as recently as this season when injured.

So financial position dictates how you should feel about someone in every situation?
