My aunt collected cards as a kid, and they've remained in surprisingly good condition. I inherited a large number of 64 and 65 Topps baseball cards as a kid that yielded some nice finds, but I went back tonight to see if I could find anything else at her house.. Lets just say I'm glad a did.

Lower end:
'61 Topps Koufax
'66 Topps Mantle
'66 Topps Maris
'65 Topps Mantle (x2, both poorly centered but will go nicely with the bvg 6 I had graded already)

And the big find:
1965 Topps talboy RC of Joe Namath (in excellent condition. Will definitely be sending in for grading.) Ill get a scan of this up in the morning. Really can't get over the condition, haha.

Pics added.. And yes, it makes me cringe too that they're only in penny sleeves right now.

Very nice Namath. I could see that pulling a 7

Nice finds! The Mantle that you have x2 is actually a '64 though, unless you didn't post scans of the two '65s. I would be interested in one of the '65s if you do happen to have one and are looking to move it.

You're right, those are 64s (my fault). I do have a BVG 6 '65 though.

Ah, no fault just wanted to point that out to you, thought maybe you did not know. Anyway, I'm looking for a raw '65. I detest graded cards! Where are you in Louisville? I head down to Middletown a lot and hit East End Sports Cards. There is another shop I go to but can't remember where it is exactly. I think it's called Through The Decades or something, he does a lot of gaming stuff also, like Magic the Gathering, etc.

I've gone to and like both.. East End tends to be a little pricier than Through the Decades. The selection at TTD used to be a little sparse, but I've noticed he's picked up his supply recently.

Yes, TTD definitely has better pricing but Dave is just about the friendliest shop owner I've ever come across. He scores points with me by remembering my daughter every time we go in and asking her questions related to stuff she told him on previous visits. I'll have to hit TTD again soon, he was short on stuff like you said last time I was there. It is fun digging through his discount boxes though, come up with some gems now and then.

Both shops are nice, but East End is definitely the place to go. I like the '64 Aaron is selling. I live in Louisville also.

Update Results from grading (Yes, I know people say PSA > BVG, but I went against the popularity contest). Pretty happy w/ the results..

Any idea of asking price? One sold about a month ago through PWCC for 2600. Another BVG 7 sold for OBO w/ original asking price of 2300. Will be for sell once it comes back from Beckett.

You should get between $2500-2600 based on past sales. Nice find.
