Ebay refund question

I recently bought and received a damaged card so I am asking for a refund. Now do I ship it first then get the refund? or should I ask for the refund then ship it back?

Sorry I've never had to return a item before.

Return first, refund comes after receipt of the card. Make sure you send with DC.

eBay policy states you have to send the card back first. Obviously, make sure you ship with tracking
