Puig is a freak of nature. Rooting for the kid to keep doing what he's doing.

Great, lets get a few more threads on how well he is doing. Harper and trout are getting jealous

2014? I mean, Trout made it a whole year... He could make it half a year.

I read somewhere that he doesn't really think about studying pitchers...he's a "see ball, hit ball" kind of player. Afte reading that, I did a little stat looking...

I think it's interesting that heading into tonight he is hitting .682 (30/44) in the first two pitches of an at bat, but only .246 (14/57) if the at bat goes beyond two pitches. I have no idea if that means something, but I think it's interesting nonetheless.

I thought this was going to be about the 2013 Pirates.

Trout was a lot more sustainable though, heck, playing similarly this year.

What I noticed is that a lot of times a rookie will do good the first year and decline a bit in the second year. Part of it is there are no videos for the other team to study and once they get enough info. they tend to notice how to pitch or bat around that player. So what I want to see is how Puig does next year.
