As soon as my dad heard about Derek Jeter going to Scranton for his rehab assignment he got tickets for the entire family on Sunday. I'm going to buy a couple official baseballs and maybe a cap for Derek to sign if the opportunity comes along. What kind of pens should I use for a ball and cap? Also, does anyone know the best place where I should be at to obtain the autograph and what time? Thanks.

Have a good time. I was fortunate enough to get his auto at coors field in 2002 and even luckier to get Mariano this year at coors field. Their sits are side by side on my jersey I used to wear. I used a black sharpie. As soon as my dad heard about Derek Jeter going to Scranton for his rehab assignment he got tickets for the entire family on Sunday. Best way to get a Derek Jeter auto ball, from what I hear, is to sleep with him.

Jeter will not sign anything, I don't believe it's because he is cocky or anything but he knows what his autographs bring and besides the $$$ he makes for being exclusive to Steiner is probably ridiculously high. Plus you and 1,000 other fans will be trying for his auto and when he sees the crowd he will not even bother.

It will be ridiculously crowded, and the Yankees in general are notoriously bad signers thanks to Steiner. If I remember correctly, they were fined by the team a few years back for signing during Spring Training. Personally, I wouldn't even try for his autograph and just enjoy the game.

The way they are talking the chances for Autos are slim --> none the game sold out within minutes it will be packed with people thinking the same thing.

Eh, A-Rod signed at his game the other day, so I think anything can happen.

A-Rod is trying to save what image he has left.

Yup you can thank the morons who stand around trying to make autograph collecting a job. These clowns are slime and need to be removed from the hobby ASAP. Thanks to them the OP and his dad more than likely wont even get close to the field due to the moronic grown men screaming for young mens signature who have no other intention but to list it as soon as they get home.

The real slimy ones bring multiple hats and shirts that can reverse colors. Just so they can get multiples and then sell autographs to you. Thats if they aren't forging them like the other half of them are. They get 1 authentic autograph bring it home and magically they have 3 guess which one stays in there collection? And guess which get sold with the "proof" picture. You guessed it lol

I'm going to the game on Sunday too, fingers crossed!!!!!!!! Me and my dad and driving down from Connecticut just to see it.

Can anybody tell me anything about the graphing atmosphere at this place? I haven't been there since before the Yanks came into town and I'm guessing things have gotten way harder in 6 years.

I know Bryce Harper and A-Rod have both signed on their stints lately.

Jeter also signed during his two-game 2011 Trenton stint too. Would love to get all three!

I'm hoping by next weekend A-Rod will be bumped up from A+ to AA so I can see him here in NB

When a rod was at Scranton last year you needed tickets in the sections to even get down in front of that section for autos. I am sure they will do the same thing Sunday so hopefully your seats are near third base field level or you won't even be able to get down there.

Derek Jeter has a clause in his contract stating he is only allowed to sign for Steiner and Upper Deck, and I believe his Upper Deck contract either ran out or is running out. He also has a clause stating he can SIGN for KIDS and selected parents. Therefore he rarely though not never signs for adults at games. If he signs for you it would be rare, and he will only, maybe, sign one item. GOOD LUCK!

I met a guy at the Yankees - White Sox game in 2011 who was from New Jersey and got tons of Derek Jeter pictures autographed when he was doing his rehab assignment with the Trenton Thunder. He also had many other Yankee autographs from Thunder games.
