my friends call me mossman, i'm looking foward to meeting everyone. back into collecting baseball cards after a 24 year break. tons more choices then just donruss,fleer,and topps.

i just have a couple of questions: can anybody recomend a good set for rookies,and also a set that spotlights the legends of the game?.

Rookie is a very slippery word. The MLB changed the definition a few years back so now there is "Prospects" and "Rookies". Bowman Chrome, Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects, Donruss Elite Extra Edition and a few others are all the rage for RCs. Vets? Good ol Topps is cheap, or Legendary Cuts have lots of Vets in their base sets. LC has some nice Cut Autographs of these Vets but they are tough pulls. You can go in the Group Break Completed section and take a look at a lot of recent Baseball breaks. Something will catch your eye and you can narrow down your choices/questions from there. Thank-you for the reply, and the advice it helps alot. That explains why i keep on seeing jay bruce rookie cards 3 years running in some descriptions on boxes!lol!.
