Don't know if anybody caught this yet, but this year they are doing 1 660 ct box for $70. Not quite as good as last year's, but still a pretty good deal nonetheless. I will be sending in a bunch of vintage, brings the submission fee down to about .11 per card

Cool. I may try this. I only have about 70 cards to send in so far, but at roughly .11 a card, a lot more cards make sense to send in.

This is a great deal compared to the regular $.25/card submission fee. It is too bad that they limited submissions to one box per seller. This pricing makes sending in cards that realistically sell for $.75 worthwhile.

They have done well the last couple of years with the national special. Last years brought in more cards in two weeks than they did in a year. I only sent in 1100 cards, I should have sent more. Still pretty happy with the special for sending in some vintage commons that might net me $1-2 per card.

What exactly does "no jammed minis" mean?
Can you still put 2 minis side by side in the box? Or is this just referring to putting minis on the sides and/or top of the box?

Minis cannot be stacked. For the width of the card there should be only one mini versus the stacking that went on last year.
I fit 515 cards in my 660 Count Box and that was with the intentional removal of thick cards so my per card cost comes out to 13.6 cents each. Even Bowman Chrome is significantly thicker than a standard base Topps card. My cards should go in the mail (160 additional thick cards too) in the morning.

Hey, Moe@COMC here - that's pretty much what it means: don't put any cards on the sides or on the top of the cards in the box. We want sellers to avoid trying to jam too many cards into a box, thereby risking damage to their cards during shipment.
And after the onslaught of the "5 boxes for our 5th anniversary" National special last year, we wanted to go a little easier on our processing team this year. ;-)

I got 450 into mine. I have sleeved vintage though... didn't want to risk the damage of sending w/o sleeves

I was able to fit 606 in my box. It included a some very thin singles from old police team sets. I pulled out all of the thick cards and sent them in a separate batch for standard 4-week processing.

I believe I was able to fit around 475 into a box last night. Gets me under 15 cents per card before shipping. Also sending in some other stuff for 1-week and hot-list processing. Biggest submission yet. :)

This is essentially what I am doing. I am 4-weeking all of my thicker/time sensitive card, and using the promotion for all of my non-current year cards, and no thick ones. Haven't counted yet, but probably fit about 600 in mine also. Cuts my fees in half, I like it.

Wish this special would have been 2 boxes per account instead of 1...

Is anyone sending in cards without sleeves to be able to cram in more cards? I'm talking about really low end stuff of course. Also if i put a bunch of sleeved cards in a team bag would they charge me extra for that (I know they charge more for toploaders).
Just trying to figure out what to send in. Thanks

One year at the national they had special marked boxes handed out at the show, is this the same or can we submit any old 660 count box?

Nope. Team bags are no problem.

You can submit any 660ct box (or if you don't have a 660ct box you can submit 11.75" of cards). We will have boxes to give away at the National as well as other cool giveaways so definitely swing by.
Thanks!

I usually penny sleeve all my cards when I submit, but for this one I did not, so that I could submit more cards. Obviously no cards worth more than probably 6 bucks in mine, so if you have any expensive ones, I would penny sleeve them.

I made sure that my 660-ct box submission did not contain a card worth more than $10 (nothing was penny-sleeved, just packed very tightly). To take advantage of the extra space in my medium flat-rate box, I put a whole bunch of other cards into separate boxes for one-month, one-week, and hot-list submissions. :)

That's what I did as well, got 545 non sleeved cards then the rest of the box sent in sleeved stuff that was thicker, more valuable.

I am kinda lost here. Never been to Nationals and just barely became away of it last year. I have been collecting for 20+ years though. What is the deal with this 660 ct box full of cards all about? You bring your own for submission of what to who? Just curious. Thanks.

Hi, Moe from COMC here. We're an online consignment service, providing a safe and easy place for you to buy and sell sports cards online (Check Out My Cards, Comics & Collectibles - COMC (http://www.comc.com)).
Everyone is discussing our Submission special for this year's National show. We're accepting a 660 ct box of cards, available on a 6 week processing schedule, for $70. You can drop off your box at our booth (we're at #850) and we'll get them processed and made available on our website.
If you've not seen us before, please take a little time to check out our website and if you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM. Thanks and have a great day!
