Seriously?!? I had no idea they would be that much. Someone sold AK-299 for $200, so I figured a modest jump from there, but nowhere near $1000. Wow.

Animal Kingdom cards are weird with sales

Myself and few buddies have opened around 30 cases of Goodwin last 3 years..

Every year they start off ok.. Then it seems about 2 weeks after release a few guys start trying to collect set and fight over them...

Just all depends if there will be set builders for it... last year there was and there were some amazing sales..

This year I see people just dumping at real low prices...

I would not sell your self short on it..

last year the t rex or what ever the hardest one was did sell for over a grand and the unicorn from year before

if people start collecting set $200 is a massive steal for 299 I also saw a 296 sell for around $100

A 296 also sold for $35, and last t-rex sold for $380. Another T-Rex is on bid and with something like 2 days left it is at $177. I think they have died down a lot. I see it being in the $400-$500 range but nowhere near the $1k that is just crazy for a manufactured patch animal card.

It won't get more than $500 if even that. Odds this year for that hardest group are 1:8.968 packs where as they are 1:15,947 packs in last year and 1:14,613 in 2011. Basically, there will be double of the rare ones in this years product as they are about half as hard to hit. Makes sense. Nice hit, but sick of people way over-estimating the prices of these cards.

If you think about it ... $1000 card from a $75 box ... it's the equivalent of hitting a mid/upper-tier Chrome Superfractor auto from a single Bowman hobby box. It's quite amazing.

Fact is it was the first one to sell and some people have more money than common sense. Just list all the things that $1,000 would buy and I highly doubt 99.9% of the people would say a manufactured animal patch card. Some people need help that pay that much for those cards. However, they will cool off fast, so good move on selling it now as they will not stay at that level long at all once collector's figure out they are an easier hit and once the have to have now set builders spend all their money going crazy on them.
