I've heard that buying in the offseason usually yields lower prices on singles. have you guys seen this trend hold true? do prices tend to increase in the season/playoffs?

thanks

Obviously not now if you are in the market for an 11k durant logoman. hahaha

They are lower in the off season, as long as it's not a new product.

seems like not as much product is out there in the off season too. I had luck early in the season last year.

Purchase what you can afford to loose money on and buy for the fun of collecting.

This is also true, I bought Colin Kaepernick in fball when he was red hot, still flipped it for lots of $$$, If you do your research its always a good time for some card. If you are PCing, I'd get all cards that aren't SP (because you may never see them again if another collector buys them) offseason.

After a player's career is over. With the exception of Jordan (and Lebron ;)) most players lose value as more and more cards are printed, more autos are signed, or they turn out to not really be the next Jordan.
