It's been brought up in other threads but figured it might be nice to have a thread for anyone attending. I was there last year but nothing special. I think the National having been in Baltimore made it a little slower. The show usually is best when the auto guests are solid and there is a nice lineup (no basketball though) this year.

I'll be there Saturday afternoon for my Dwight Gooden Auto and hopefully some nice pick-ups. Maybe a group rip?

They did it last year and I went. It was dud. Half the dealers were not even set up. Saturday was much better.

yes bgs will grade and slab starting 4 on Thursday, psa, sgc, jsa, all will be there day 1, the reason im going Thursday is so that I wont have to wait much before I get my cards back. if u come Thursday u can pick em back up slabbed within a couple hours, im sure of that much.

BGS will only raw review at the show, no on site slabbing. You can drop off your large submissions and they will grade them then send them back to you.

Driving from Baltimore is 100% not worth it. It's a great show if you're local (20 min train from NYC for me) but I wouldn't travel more than an hour for it. The whole "national" moniker is a little misleading. It's a solid show but nothing extraordinary.

Will probably make the hour drive up on Friday. I would be interested in doing a group break if someone wants to set one up

I'm still thinking whether I should go on Sat. Is there a better parking area other than the one next to the show? I think that is $7 or $12 for the day or something.

Why are people bashing this show?? Last time I went in January it was great.... The place was packed and there were tons of deals!!! I remember paying $135 for a Kobe team threads auto and a Olajuwon timeless treasures dual patch auto /10 :flex: in my opinion, this is BY FAR the best show in the tri- state area...

yea i think im gonna venture for sunday then and take my time

GC1980

I always find its best on saturdays. All the dealers are set up and ready for the bigger crowds. I like to get there around 1030-11 and spend a few hours browsing. Sunday runs the risk of the nicest stuff being picked off.

dasiegel
08-16-2013, 09:20 AM
i cant imagine this is different than any other good show, if you get there early like thurs fri it will likely be great selection but the sellers aren't in a rush to sell, saturday will have the most action and sunday will have the least stuff but sellers who wants to sell will give the best deals as the show is ending.

Any group case breaks today?

I'll be there today. Leaving the city soon so be at the show around 11. I'd be down for some ripping if I don't find anything I'm looking for.

Nike shorts, white tee and a black and red "probstien123" gym bag.
