40 Boxes 2013 Pinnacle Baseball - An Overload of Dufex Greatness!

Really fun break if you remember the Pinnacle Products from the '90s. If you like the look of the old Pinnacle inserts, you will enjoy these - they look much better in person than in the scans. 1-2 Inserts per pack which sounds like a lot until you realize there are around 15 different inserts sets and and there are 3 versions of some of the insert sets. 2 Autos per box, didn't really do well with the Mattingly and Rose probably the best. Did really well with the Artist Proofs with Yasiel Puig, Manny Machado, Myers, Bundy and Griffey Jr. Lots of good Musuem Collection with Puig being the best, think the Museum would have looked nicer if they found a way to brighten the cards. Averaged around 1 Die Cut / Artist Proof Insert per box, some of these are going to be difficult to find when you look at how many different variations there are and how hard they are to pull. Got a lot of Trout and Harper die cuts and Artist Proofs. The Clear Vision inserts have several variations, think I got a rare Nolan Ryan. With over 1000 inserts, only scanned some of the highlights. All on or going on ebay, no trades.

I loved 90's inserts. Glad to see them coming back around as a centerpiece and not an afterthought. Just can't get past the lack of logos though. Such a shame that MLB gave Topps an exclusive.

Since Panini can't use logo's on their cards, I'd have to say the Rose auto looks great. I totally prefer the picture of Rose with no hat versus a hat that's airbrushed.

When it hit 65 a box last year, I made money on every case I bought. Inserts went insane, and autos went way up. Not optimistic this year though. Panini products are a decent bust when they come down to realistic pricing.

Given that though, inserts are nice in pinnacle, but it's a pain to sell them all. When/if this hits 50 a box, I will try a case.

True story- 1996 Tristar in KC and I have 1/2 of a table. I open a box of Pinnacle and get the Johnny Damon AP and Museums in one box. I go nuts and the guy in front of my table throws down $150 on the spot for the two cards- sold!!!

I later saw him at another show and felt bad so I gave him a really good deal on several RC's.
