Dear hockeyjunkie99,

hi there i made a terrible mistake. I am sorry to ask you this but i'm requesting to cancel this transaction. This card was meant for my father inlaw for a present. He wanted a tampa bay player but he did not tell me that he hated st. louis. He actually wanted stamkos or hedman. Thanks for understanding. Send me a email with your email account for paypal and i will pay for the fees to cancel this transaction because i don't think you should be ding for my mistake. Thanks again jarvis

My feeling as a long time ebay seller is that if they offer to pay any fees and and are upfront with you, you might as well try to take them up on their offer and relist the item. Just make them pay your fees first before you cancel the transaction.

you could try to make the point by giving them an unpaid strike, but it doesn't really help the original seller any.

usually, the buyers who take the time to request this are the one who made an honest mistake......... i don't see what the problem is.

I do hate it, Nick...but he is at least trying to be upfront with covering the fees. It sounds like an honest mistake. How do you hate Martin St. Louis, though? :)

He sent me the initial message 2 days in a row. I wonder how many times he would have sent the message if I didn't get back to him. The card was in my store for months and he made an offer, I accepted and then the message came.

Here is the follow up. Does this sound sketchy to you guys??? Why would I want to cancel the transaction??? It makes me look like I initiated that I didn't want to sell the card.

Dear hockeyjunkie99,

hi here is the information how to do it
Go to My eBay.

Click the Sold view.

Next to your listing, pull down the "Take action" menu and select "Resolve a problem."

The Resolution Centre – "Resolve a problem" form appears.

Select "I sold an item and want to cancel the transaction" and click Continue.

Sign in to your account. The "Cancel a transaction" form appears.

If you get to the Resolution Centre from your item listing, your item number is already filled in.

If you get there another way, enter your item number and click Continue.

Under "Give the buyer a reason for wanting to cancel this transaction", indicate your reason for canceling and click Continue.

If you've sold an item but can't go through with the sale, you can cancel the transaction in our Resolution Centre and you may receive a credit on your Final Value Fee.

let me know if this works. thanks again

Dear unheard_no_name,

I don't have a problem cancelling the transaction. I've just never had to do a cancellation before. The only way I see to cancel is via filing an unpaid bidder. Teach me if you have done it before.

what does it matter?.......... the only people who see it are you, the buyer and eBay. eBay doesn't hold anything against you for a mutual agreement to cancel a transaction.

I know this is off topic, but it bothers me when i dont receive payment for an item when i send a follow up invoice and the buyer is paying for auctions he/she wins after committing to buy mine ----sorry for the 180 in this thread ---think i will start another thread on this matter !
