UPDATED.............I posted a picture of the Lebron James auto #ed 5/5 my son pulled out of a pack at the Upper Deck booth durung the National in Chicago. As some of you remember, they put the sticker on upside down. I was told I could return the card and they would fix it. I ask how they would be able to fix it without damaging it and they said they hd a way of doing it. I was told if hey weren't able to fix it they would send me a card comparable in value. They said the Lebron was around $350. So I decided to send it in. They fixed the upside sticker, but the card has major damage as you can see by the picture. The first picture is the card before I sent it in and the second picture is the condition it is now in. They alo included the hk card for my troubles. I emailed them and sad I wasn't happy and ask why they would even send the Lebron card back in that condition. There telling me there is nothing else they will do. Do you think this is fair deal???? Thinking about putting it up on there facebook and twitter page. Also, this card looks alot worse in hand then the scan shows.

OH MAN!!! What the heck... that card looks trashed. I absolutely can't believe they'd send it back in that condition!! Is it all bent and creased in the lower right corner?

I dunno hockey at all... how valuable is that one?

They had a way of doing it? What way? Step on it with their foot and twist until sticker comes off??

Ask them for a different card because the fixed card they have you is too damaged to have the quoted $350 value

Wow, UD customer service has always done me right. Sometimes it takes a little longer than others, but I've always been happy with the card(s) I end up with. This situation seems like a huge bummer.

Sorry that happened to you, but I can't say that I'm surprised given how bad Upper Deck's customer service has gotten (I could tell you stories that would make you feel like you got treated like a king).

Here's the way I would look at it. Your son pulled an awesome card out of a pack that cost you nothing. Unfortunately, the card had a major problem so you had to deal with Upper Deck. They tried to make it better by correcting the auto (which did change it from a stupid auto card to a nice but damaged Lebron James auto card), but in doing so they damaged the card. So they gave you an additional $75 card to make up for the damage.

So if you are looking to sell the card, you probably came out a little worse because the sell price of the Lebron as it is now plus the dual auto hockey card would be a little less than it would be for just the Lebron auto if it hadn't been upside down. But probably not by a huge amount though because the card had issues on the edges and the corners before they ever touched it.

If you plan to keep the card (I would if it were me), then you have a really nice Lebron James auto that your son and you pulled out of a free pack at the National. It's damaged, but what the heck it was free. It will always be a really nice memory of your son and you at the National. To me, that is where the true value is.

Hope that helps.

Yes, but the packs weren't really free. You had to buy UD SP authentic product to get the packs!

Looks like same sticker was reused. How many times can the sticker be reused before it loses its stickiness and curls. Why couldn't they have put the sticker on a different card and stamped it as a 1/1?
