Filling the ballpark and watching the game elsewhere instead of being on Blowout forums! Go Giants!

Yusmerio Petit..was his 3rd or 4th game of the year I think...
bit of a baseball journeyman started in the minors in 2003 - been with Marlins and Dbacks...12-20 MLB record before tonight...was perhaps picked up by the Giants as another Vogelsong resurrection type of project..29 yrs old-ish

So close. Pence would have had to make an impossible catch to save that one. Great game either way.

Yeah, he had no shot at it, but he was going to try regardless.

What's sarcasm? Could you teach me how to use it in a way that is both witty and at the appropriate time?

I don't think I've seen a mediocre pitcher dominate a team like he did. He had 81 pitches going into the 9th. He could've threaded a needle he was locating so well. I'm happy Giants fans actually could cheer for something in September. Now go back to crying about how the Dodgers spending is sooooo unfair for the next 9 months.

Magic may have bought an NL West championship, but I just don't see the Doyers making it through the postseason.
As far as my Giants are concerned, I would hope that Sabean does not exercise the option on Zito, and instead uses that $18 mil. on finding a left fielder that can hit 20-30 home runs. Resigning Pence should be a no-brainer, and Lincecum may be a bargain after the last two years. An outfield of Pence, Pagan, and Morse sounds intriguing. I could see them bringing in a guy like Garza or Feldman to help out the rotation. Or give one of the kids a shot...

As a Giants fan this year has been very bad all around but when you win 2 out of the last 3 World Series I have nothing to complain about. As for the Dodgers get back to me when they actually win the World Series.

May I suggest borrowing one of these from your mother so that you can get the sand out of your vag?

Petit has had a really good three or four games this season and i think he's making a serious bid for the 5th spot in the rotation next year with Zito on his way out.

Which one of the 6 World Series championships would you like me to reference when I get back to you? Why don't you get back to me when you can count your championships on more than one hand.
Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

If we are getting technical, The Giants franchise actually has one more World Series victory than the Doyers franchise...

<-----This Giants fan was at the game... It was simply incredible to watch. Almost passed out from screaming my head off in the 9th. Some pitchers just figure out their stuff later rather than sooner. If you look at his stats from Fresno, he pitched quite well before being called up, so it shouldn't be too shocking that he has been pretty darn good so far this year.

Unless you have a hand with seven fingers, the Giants need more than one hand...

Sorry, my bad. I forgot about the 3 or 4 they won in NY... Before the Great Depression. I was only thinking of the many, many years of futility they spent on the West Coast. My apologies to the Giants fans and their long, proud tradition of winning baseball.
