If I am not mistaken aren't these the set released through Etopps? I think they were released back in 2007.

They are etopps. Keep in mind to even get delivered a card that you have already owned delivered to you, you need to pay 5 bucks a card! These look much nicer in person, a few of the baseball ones got autographed...also very nice.

Those are really cool. I've never seen them before. I was not collecting during the etopps time, what exactly was it? Are they just digital cards or are they actually a cardboard poduct?

An actual card but I would say its like the same format as Topps' giveaways. Unlock a card, pay to redeem said card

Etopps was a program that Topps launched in 1999. The format was that the consumer could buy what they want, as opposed to chasing from packs. They would "IPO" (like stocks) on Mondays, and the cards had certain number of print runs. /299,/399, etc... When the card sold out (or didn't) they wouldn't print anymore.
They did offer autographs on certain cards, and I loved the program. We have a TON of eTopps in hand that we have delivered. If you check my COMC account on the left, you can see some of what we have.
2011 baseball was the last set they released before they shut down the program. Ultimately, poor management of the program caused members to lose interest and move on.
Just a brief snapshot of the program, but it was groundbreaking for a while. Imagine an undrafted rookie running back going off for 200 yards on Thursday night, then being released on Monday as an IPO. That was how they created a lot of draw, is they could offer cards of people that didn't have other releases.
If you have any questions, or if you are looking for any certain cards, let me know.
Hope this was helpful.

I remember getting the email about these sets back in 2007 from etopps. This was a very expensive set.
