Pretty straight forward. Have a shot at either. Just curious what others think

There's too many gems out there. It doesn't warrant the insane price difference in my opinion. I'd take a 9 over a gem at this point if spending the money.

raw............
graded is overrated (for the prices they demand)

What would you do with the other $275?

I voted 9.5, but I have a 9/10 heading my way from BGS right now and I'm very happy to own it, but who doesnt hope for a 9.5 when submitting?
Honestly, if I were buying, I would just be really picky on a raw and submit it.

BGS 9 pop *76*:cool:
BGS 9.5 pop *187*:eek::o
BGS 10 pop *5*........BUY ;)
I passed on a pristine at 1,300 so i cannot understand these prices for the gem mint. If you have the coin, go pristine if you can find one...buy something no one has :)!

In this day and age, it's fairly safe to assume that unless a buyer is outright lying about obvious damage that a raw card is at least a BGS 9. Unless it's a terrible condition product like Inception or something.
So I think the right play is either pony up for the 9.5 or buy a raw one, grade it yourself, and assume you'll get at least a 9 but maybe even luck out and find a 9.5.

This is a great way to look at it...
...and exactly what I did... and ended up with two 9.5/10's...

This is the direction I'd lean
Either go with the 9.5/10 (if you knew that's what you wanted) or go for a raw and try to grade it for a 9.5/10
Buying a BGS 9/10 just seems like a waste of $50 to me (or whatever the difference is between a raw and 9/10 value)
I either want a 9.5/10 because the item is that nice or I'd be happy with a raw.
