Topps Platinum or Chrome

I busted a box of platinum last Friday with a couple solid pulls. Now I'm debating whether I should pick up a couple more boxes or save my money for Chrome. I enjoy picking up a couple boxes to get me close to a set then piece it together buying singles online. Love the color Topps Chrome has and not too impressed with the refractor style of Platinum however 3 hits in a box is cool (although I understand that dilutes value). Any thoughts?

Chrome is going to hold better value. Even though there isnt the same immediate ROI as last year, I think the manufacturers are loading some nice stuff into boxes to drive sales.

Unless you are comparing to high end, Chrome is always the answer.

I like Platinum better, but Chromes rep goes back to the 90s making it a hobby must buy.

I love them both honestly, I really like finest, platinum & chrome, all the shiny styled cards....... love topps stuff.... platinum really delivered some nice stuff for me, I dont' think you can go wrong.

I love Platinum across the board with hobby and retail. I purchased 5 blasters because my LCS didn't have it yet and I was very happy. Pulled a Jarvis Jones black auto /150, Marcus Lattimore auto and a Zach Line auto. I'm also about 20 cards short of the set.

That being said, you can't go wrong with Chrome. The resell is always better and the autos are shorter printed overall. Maybe get a couple blasters of Platinum and have a chance at autos or completing your set. Then still have money left for Chrome.

agreed. Finest is very nice but getting pricey already, I like the looks of platinum, and chrome is always a favorite from a value standpoint.

I have never seen the draw of chrome over products like finest and platinum, I actually like the look of Finest the best of the three but that's just a personal preference. That being said, chrome hold its value the best, so it's probably in your best interest to hold out.
