Ive always had the question and decided to put it out there?

Do a lot of breaks turn a profit for the breaker who hosts the break? Breaks are usually done at the retail price setting but does that typically mean that is the actual cost of the case?

I know a retail shop that reserves high end products for his regular customers based on the fact that they buy a bunch of low end products that end up allowing the dealer to be allocated higher end products when they release. I also know that he sells at a slight discount.

Another question is, does the 200 transaction and $20000 provision apply to breakers assuming they dont make a profit and just do this for fun?

I've only done a few and I've probably broken even altogether. You may end up $20-30 up sometimes as shipping/supplies come in slightly under your estimates but that is pretty negligible since its at least a few hours of work to run a case break from start to finish.

Good to know.

Also if the value of the case does increase and a breaker secures the case at below current retail cost, a profit can be made in a future break.

Not worthwhile if you are in it just to turn a profit. Time to run the break and if you mess something up could cost you a lot more than you think.
