I've spoken to the promoters for the upcoming October 5th card show in Culver City, California and we're going to do free box breaks for all kids 13 & under LIVE at the show. Here's how it will work:
• All participants must be 13 years of age or younger
• No proxies, each child must be present to participate
• MLB teams will be randomly assigned prior to each break
We'll be breaking boxes of 2013 Topps baseball series 2. The amount of breaks we do will be dependent on the response we get for participants but the rough idea is to do a break at 11am, a break at 1pm, and a third break at 3pm so that you'll be able to sign up your kid(s) even if you have a game or commitment early or late in the day.
It is free to sign up and I'll ask that, at this point, only sign up kids for one break. If there are additional spots available as we near the show's date we'll be happy to let in return participants. Our goal is to make this as fun and easy as possible and that the most amount of kids can participate. I'm sure everyone understands.
It's first-come/first-served and you can PM me the name(s) of the kid(s) you want to sign up. I'm going to tentatively limit it to 3 kids for each member (just so we don't have someone sign up their entire little league team and occupy an entire break) but if you've got a few extras it's not the end of the world, just shoot me a PM and we'll get you squared away. You can PM me the child’s first name and then use your user name as their last name. For example, if I were signing up my kid I would put down Tommy HarryLime. I think this is reasonable.

We thought this would be a fun way to get kids back involved with the hobby more and hopefully everyone leaves at the end of the day with a smile on their face.
I'm going to create the sign-up sheets based on the time stamp on the PMs so don't post in this thread to sign kids up, please send me a PM and I'll respond as soon as I can. As names come in I'll post sign-up sheets (without the childs' names) just so everyone knows if there are spots left.
