There have been so many announcements made about comics being optioned off to TV networks. I wonder if we will ever get to see one getting done. One can only take so much smoke screen before discounting all future news.
Which title do you think will the first to be on our TV? Clone, ToT, Todd, RR, Blah blah blah blah....

I read in an article somewhere (cbr or bleedingcool, I forgot) that based on statistics, for every 1 show, 9 gets written off...so far those are the numbers
It lies to a lot of factors imo. producing is merely a business for the execs, it is about the money and viewership and maybe politics too... :)

I actually think Ghosted or EoW has the most potential of becoming a decent show, 6th gun is back on too..

DEfinately agree with ghosted. EoW although an awesome comic not sure how it would translate to TV/Film. I could imagine it being ruined or diluted down

I think Thief of Thieves has the best shot of making it. Kirkman has confirmed numerous times that it is still on. They need good shows after Breaking Bad and Mad Men ends. And Thief of Thieves makes for some awesome source material.

I agree with the EoW. I absolutely love the comic but a TV show just couldnt do it justice. Ghosted would make for a cool TV show for sure.

i dont even know about tot anymore. they already have a walking dead spinoff in the works, and kirkman's working on a different show for another network. tot seems to keep getting put on the backburner

Isn't Todd being developed by Titmouse right now?
My picks for best potential right now are Thief of Thieves, Todd, and if the response is there, Peter Panzerfaust

Something like Aeon Flux was done back in the 90s

Yes if they could do it like Aeon would be great. Ghosted would be simple to do. I could actually see SyFy doing it but who knows
bigboytoys, is right. It's about 10%. Todd the Ugliest will likely be first to air based on amount of individuals involved in an animation project is typically less as well as production time for a cartoon being way shorter than live action.

48% of all stats are made up on the spot.

Lol. Well i was going off what people i know that work in the film and tv industry have told me. They may or may not know what they are even talking about as they are writers and not statisticians. It sounded about right. To be more percise It's apparently more like 6%.
According to wisegeek. Out of 50 scripts a network will choose 10 to make into pilots. They will pick 20 pilots and only actually pick 6 to go to air. So out of 100 scripts, 6 pilots will go to air, ala 6%. So I guess I was being generous and rounded up. 10% sounds better.

Considering how horrible most Adult Swim shows are, I think Todd would be a great addition to their line up and gain a big cult following. While most people say they hope a series sticks to the comic series, I actually hope the opposite to an extent with Todd. Issues #1 and 2 were great, then it slowed down pretty badly IMO. The characters they have are great and there is a ton of potential, but Christensen needs help from other writers to keep it top notch, and a group of good writers for a TV series would be a welcome addition. Just tons and tons of potential there, buying issue #1 is a great gamble at current prices (first and second print).
