Where do you buy from?

I used to buy from APMEX through Ebay so i can use paypal. I order for a bunch of people at work and we took advantage of the 50 cents per item combined shipping. no they have gone to free shipping and added the shipping price into the markup. so im looking for somewhere else to buy. the order is place is usually a variety due to what each individual person wants. usual order is around 15-20oz a month. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been buying from MCM on eBay with great service. Modern coin mart. They offer free shipping and fair prices.

But this also depends on what you plan on buying.

Apmex just lowered their shipping to 9.99 up to $500. It was around 12-15 for shipping a order.

Provident metals has 4.95 flat shipping through the end of the month.

Gainesville coins seem to have the best prices but hear their shipping is slower than the others.

Its really the best option for people buyjng a few oz a month. I hear stories of people buying 3-4 oz and pay APMEX S&H. Dont get it.

nah I'm in Phoenix AZ. to be honest, I dunno the name of the LCS here, I just know that it's right next door to the card shop I went to for a long time :)

I have never been a fan of any local shops in any hobby I have been into myself... tons of crappy attitudes, disgusting condition shop environments, inflated prices, crap selection, and overall bad shopping experiences... BUT with this new venture, I really would like to check out a few shops and at least give them a shot of getting my money...:)!

Check out providentmetals.com, apmex shipping is a day or two faster, but you are stacking and not flipping, and provident is always cheaper than Apmex. Apmex has the best customer service(not that the others are bad, just a day or two longer for shipping), but the worst prices of any PM business.

for ASE check out goldmart.com, they are almost $2 cheaper per ASE, that adds up.

for any big time stackers, check out Tulving.com. The best prices hands down, but you have to order a min. of 20 ASE's, but if anyone is buying a monster box, that is the place to go.(Great for group buys, I was getting rolls in the $550 range, when they were almost $700 on Apmex.)

They don't allow bank wires unless it is over $1,500( I am pretty sure every PM business is this way), but I did this with Apmex, and had my gold and silver the next day, because they shipped overnight mail, which was cool.

group buys...now there's an interesting idea. I'm not familiar with this tulving site but I know that on apmex if you do a minimum $1500 transaction you can pay with wire transfer and if you pay that way there's a discount. I also know that if you buy any given item in quantity there's discounts that way as well.

this might be something worth looking into. perhaps I shall start a thread on it and see if there'd be any takers...

I have heard nothing but HORRIBLE things about Tulving. Rumors about the guy who runs the company was always the one you dealt with which was all good. Made some changes and now the people you deal with are clueless in the PM business. Plus, shipping from them is horrendous now as they can not fulfill their orders at the price they sold them.
