I just got the MJ in the mail to complete the set. I could have purchased it for $50-$70 3 years ago but I held off because I wanted to get a good deal . Had to unfortunately shell out $170 for it last week because I could not stand having an incomplete set.

One of the best inserts of all time. I have a couple of Pc players of this.
And also the UD Fleer retro.
The 90's is so much and way better compared side to side.
Its actually embarassing to put them together, as you would obviously see the difference of quality.
Despite 16 years passed by. It jist simply can't replicate the beauty of the original.

Seriously? :flex:
Why not stay out of the thread altogether if all you have to say is, that's sh!t
OP, great set!
Nothing like the 90's Die-cuts, unless they all look the same, than you should just burn them and collect Panini

Looking good man, are those 20pt cards, or thicker?
lol @ your Jordan situation, I have the same thing with Jordan and Kobe for a few of the sets I'm trying to finish.
I wish there were more 90's insert/base set threads instead of the tired panini/exquisite stuff.
...the should make a 90s only forum, who's with me? :)!

Hahahahahahhahs!!!!!! You do realize, for a card to be a part of most sets, the set all has the same designs, right?

I'm not too familiar with the scale for card thickness, but they are about the same thickness as the regular base cards from 96-97 Skybox Premium.
As far as a set with lots of color and variance, I have a near complete set of 96-97 Topps Finest refractors, although I am thinking of aborting it due to the last few cards I need being very expensive.

I figured I would share my other favorite die cut set from 96-97 Spx Holoview Heroes. I was lucky enough to buy the Jordan before the market manipulation.

THAT right there, that Holoview Heroes set is one of my absolute favorites, that's one I'd love to finish up, but I don't have the coin for it.
Good on you for grabbing that Jordan early, I'm hosed though, need the MJ 9596 Flair Hot Numbers to finish up that set. :(
Post more completed insert sets if you have any. I was lucky enough to pull the MJ 'Steel Slammin'' as a kid and was able to finish the rest of the set up without breaking my wallet.

I don't have any sets complete sets from Fleer Metal, but I would like to eventually complete some of them. The foil cards are the best.
Here is a very nice foil set that I have that is actually very cheap to pick up these days. 94-95 Fleer Fair Center Spotlight.

Here is a complete set of 96-97 E-X2000 Star Date 2000. This is the only other complete set of inserts I have that is really worth posting.

OP - Awesome set! Used to own the Jordan and loved it.

They're all worth posting man, this is the kind of stuff I'm into and not so much of that GU/PATCH/AUTO/RPA/GEM/RUBY/DIAMOND 0/0, 1/1, etc...stuff
Even simple, common / low-end inserts can make for some jaw dropping design...Fleer's 'Young Lions' was great, love that set. Here's the Steel Slammin' set below, not trying to hijack your thread, just want to keep the 90s insert talk going.
