COMC: Sale or Classified?

I am relatively new to the COMC game and am just looking for a quick answer from an experienced COMC user.


Do you have more success with Sales (taking into account that it costs $3/day + 3% of each sale) or with Classifieds ($1/day)?


Also, it seems as if most people have 50%+ sales. Almost all of my items are already the lowest on the site, so I can't see being able to do more than a 15-20% sale. Do most people just raise their prices and then create some random high % sale?

In my experience, buyers generally fall into one of two categories: Either they just buy the cards at list price or they insist on 50% off or close to 50% off. I've never had much luck offering 20% off, either as a classified ad or as a sale.

I have found that most people that do either of these tend to raise their prices before doing so. In essence it is a 'trick' and the cards are still rarely much cheaper if even at all from my 'normal' priced cards. I've had the best luck with just making sure I'm the lowest or close to it on everything. Sale or no sale, classifieds or not when they click on the card they will buy the lowest one. Plus I refuse to pay COMC any more. The fees are starting to be over the top and I still haven't even cashed out anything yet.
