i read mostly the trade paper backs due to some of the first issues being in the hundreds to get a hold of but what are some of the single issues that are in the must have categories to own in the #80+ range
91/92 first appearance of Jesus, 100 first Negan, 108 first Ezekial

#81 Comics Pro (I've picked up a few for $80 and sell for around $140-170)
#92 (First appearance of Jesus)
#93 (ToT preview)
#100 Chromium (That's really the only affordable one that will be worth something)
Michonne Special
#108 (First appearance of whatever his name is)

That's it really. How many must haves are there really going to be from #80-current? #100 has a sketch variant and another sketch convention variant, but both demand a premium. And there are the Wizard World covers of #1 regular and sketch. And there is the #1 color coming out next month. But none of those really have any upside and it will cost you a lot to get in it.

Ezekial and Sheeva. Their Origin is told in #110 making it a key issue as well.
A smaller character is killed in issue #111, or was it 112? I forget.

I'm thinking the appearance of the sneaky bastard will get some decent change in the future, If the series spinoff ( Could happen... ) features this character this will explode. I know i got my hands on more than a couple...

A graded 108 would be a good investment with the story arc changing this month.

Low cost I would go for #108 and #100 Chromium. You could pick up #108 for $7 shipped on forums all day. I haven't checked eBay prices recently.

Forgive my ignorance but #113 at Midtown has a 1 copy limit. Any reason why?

Probably because of the Clone preview! If not IDK.

Clone has been out for a year already. But my guess is Midtown just has it set that way. But they also had a limit of one copy for like Sex #4 weeks ago and I don't know anyone who reads that still. I don't see any other website with a cap. Minor character death.

I think they set those limits and forget about them.

The leap from an $80 spend to a $250 spend is quite large unless you factor in something like birthday or Christmas money (or flipping comics). However, personally I would stick to the trades and save up for an original page from TWD to enjoy as a fan rather than have a mostly incomplete collection or a few key issues.
The cheaper pages won't hang around forever, but they have mostly been picked clean and what is left has already been there for almost a couple of years now. Once you get past issue 99 you notice there isn't anything listed any more at $200 or less. The other $50 would be shipping, a cheap frame with a mat pre cut to display A4 (they will fit this without access to a mat cutter required) and some pre cut UV resist / anti glare plexi glass (pretty cheap stuff on framing or photography supply sites).
Yes there isn't anything outstanding left but for me it's much more enjoyable than print I otherwise already own in trade.
I still quite like this one because it was finished digitally and it is quirky to see Adlards pencils on page. Certainly unusual and I don't recall another like it. Unfinished pages may not be to everyone's taste but it shows the process...

This one has quite a few of the 53 - 100 main characters in it. I don't think there are any others at the lower end that have that many represented. There are certainly some characters in there that wont be having any more appearances.

Sure they are not going to light the world on fire, they may be even pretty average to a collector. As a fan I would snag the second of those two and have something unique that nobody else has. Food for thought.
edit: A4 mat would however need to be re-cut to fit the sig in the 2nd page if you were bothered about displaying it.
