So, can anyone give me some background on how to go about getting autographs at NYCC?

For example, let's say I'd like Jonathan Hickman's autograph on Friday. Do I just go to his booth or is there a designated time that I need to go.

Also, do I need to pay a fee for each talent's signature?

Lastly, are there extra steps required to have CGC witness, or are the witnesses just hanging out close to the top talent?

I love this board because I know that if I posted this on CGC board, I'd get 12 snarky responses and 4 "tree fiddy" comments plus a photo of a cat saying "you can haz google?".

Thanks ya'alls

Creators are usually hanging out at their table the whole day. Hickman has titles with three different publishers, so you might want to check at those tables too. And since they don't sell OA for EoW that they will have probably have a few set times.

The CGC witness really depends on who it is. Stan Lee? There will be a CGC witness standing there to just collect your issues. E.S.? He doesn't allow CGC to witness anymore. I really don't know about Hickman since he is big, but he isn't legendary. All you need to do is go to the CGC booth, tell them you need a witness, and they will come with you and stand in line with you.

Some will sign for free UNLESS they see CGC rep, then they'll require a "donation" of some value, 5-10-15.. depends on the person. Also, check the schedules as some will only sign within certain time frames like 4:00-5:30 etc..
