What to do?

I've got a small dillema. I need new hockey skates. But I really want to buy a tin of The Cup. I could probably go without the skates for a couple of more months. Do you guys think I should just buy the skates and get it out of the way or should I go with a tin of The Cup???

IT depend on how many falls you have had on the old skates ......:D I would buy new skates, a tin of The Cup you could have a big fall with that too :)!

I had a feeling that was going to be the consensus. BTW I don't fall down much. Once in I will catch a rut or trip over a players skate after I drop the puck but its rare. I see all these horrible hockey players with new sticks and skates and it makes me feel like crap that my skates are 6+ years old. I've replaced the runners in steels on them several time since I've had them. I've bought 3 pairs of skates in the last year and none of them have the feel that my current skates have.

Replace the steels, you aren't going to get that old glove feel out of a new pair of skates. I've been using my Bauer eclipse model for close to 10 years, and I've replaced everything a few times, the boot is as comfy (and smelly) as a sock.
