Hi, I pulled a purple ref of Puig #ed 1/199! Does the serial numbering increase the value of the card? If so by how much? Here's a pic.

To some ebayers it does. The ridiculously off center card will lower it though. Shame all of the colored puig's seem to be so badly O/C

No, it's not an eBay 1/1.

I think there's definitely a premium if the card was number 66/199. I personally love that kind of stuff!

There are weird premiums for these cards. I saw a trout 2012 bowman chrome blue ref BGS 9.5 (#27/199) for like $200 some dollars. Granted its his jsy #, but still

First, last, and jersey number do add to value.

I wouldn't list it as 1/1 on eBay because that's annoying but some collectors pay more for the first

People are stoopid. Those of you which fit into that category may even point out my spelling 'mistake' without realizing that it was part of the point. $200 for a non RC, non auto card that isn't particularly rare is just reta ........... not smart.

OP - yes, #1 will add value because unfortunately there is no shortage of the previously mentioned stoopid people. Put it with a highish BIN and see what happens. The centering will hurt though. GLWS.

Unless there is only one card made it is not a 1/1 IMO, this puig is 1 of 199 of the same card. People who pay a premium for the numbering are just dumb

People pay a premium for the serial numbers, most return will come from jersey number, then number 1/??, then last # ie 99/99.
Seen 1/?? Pull 2-3 times and the jersey # get 2-4 times depending if there are more than one collectors going after those serial numbers.

Yes it will add value, specifically jersey # will sometimes add significant value. Whether people believe it is valuable or not is there own opinion.

I just sold a Derrick Rose patch #1/10. Similar patches sold for the $50-70 range, mine sold for 100+. Do I collect these types of cards? No. But to each there own.

The OP did not ask if it was a 1/1 and
There are plenty of people in the world who think paying for
little pieces of cardboard with pictures of men in tights is dumb.

I know of a collector on another board who will trade for any ser card of any player any year,
as long it is numbered x/x (25/25 100/100 199/199 etc)

There's another fellow on this board working on Qypsy Queen "leather" Mini set.
all cards are #'d 10 but he only wants 1/10 or 10/10

then theres the player collectors ....

Bottom line is if there 2 or 3 people who want the card specifically for the numbering it will go for more. I find it hard to believe there wouldnt be a few collectors duking it out over the numbering.
