I got one box.
First off, there are 24 packs in the box. Breygent sets normally have 40, so right off the bat these are way more limited than their other sets.
So I tear into the box, and let me tell you, the base cards are gorgeous! Every card has this glitter ink on them that just makes them look spectacular, easily one of the best base sets I've ever seen! This pic doesn't do them justice:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc65/dd316HF/cards/Breygent%20Movie%20Cards/RegularCards.jpg
I got the stated number of inserts, which compared to the base set are pretty bland looking. Most of them are puzzle pieces on a foil background.
Cut signatures are inserted one per case, and I didn't get any.
Now onto the sketches. You're supposed to get one per box. I was hoping that I wouldn't pull one of mine because that's just strange. So I open the pack that has the sketch (I knew it right away because there was a penny sleeve in the pack - Breygent inserts their sketches and autos in penny sleeves inside the packs). This is what I see:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc65/dd316HF/cards/Breygent%20Movie%20Cards/RowenaBack.jpg
And I'm very happy because it's not one of mine. So I flip it over to the front and I see this:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc65/dd316HF/cards/Breygent%20Movie%20Cards/AfricanQueenSketch.jpg
Yes, it's one of mine! They inserted two sketch cards into the penny sleeve and doesn't it figure, one is mine! Anyways, here's the other sketch by Rowena Pagarigan:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc65/dd316HF/cards/Breygent%20Movie%20Cards/BarbarellaSketch.jpg
What I found really cool was the checklist - I'm on it! I managed to infiltrate the base set! :D
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc65/dd316HF/cards/Breygent%20Movie%20Cards/TedChecklist.jpg
So, I ended up beating all the possible odds by pulling two sketches, including one of my own. I got one complete set, and I'm 11 cards short of a second, no triples!
This set is just awesome. :)

I have opened 3 boxes and NO sketch card. I did not find an autograph either, not that I expected one, but 0 stetch cards. Do I contact Breygent about this? Anyone else not receive a sketch card?
I do love the cards. Great selection of posters.
The boxes are numbered out of 3000 by the way.
Thanks Gail

I don't know how others do it, but I just had to contact the card companies and keep on top of things.

I would like to sit on the other 4, but my wife helped my bust these, and wouldn't you know it...she pulled 2 sketch cards in her first box, and pulled both of the rare Monroe material cards, (the gloves and the hat), in the MM product. So she thinks she has the magical touch and wants to open more. I think I'll save one case of each for a rainy day with her, and hide the other 6.
I'll let you know what we pull when we bust the 2nd cases.

Nope, two different packs. This actually happened twice for her. We ended up getting 14 sketches out of 12 boxes. She's hooked on busting packs now, which is nice since she hated me doing it just a few months ago. :)!

Matt,
How many leprachauns are hiding in your house, how many rabbits feet hanging around neck, four leaf clovers growing in your yard?
Congrats on a great case and getting your wife to enjoy ripping. Pretty soon it'll turn into a competition - who got the best pull from their packs. :D
And when you get a chance, pack up some of that good luck and send itthis way.

I live in Lindenwold, kind of near Cherry Hill.
I've seen info on that show, I've never been to it. I think they do it every month or so.
I'll be setting up at a show soon, but not that one. I can't say yet, but when it's made public I'll probably mention it on my DA site. ;)

:) Mike, it has already turned into a competition on who will pull the best card. For now, I hope she keeps winning. That will actually turn into future wins for me. :)!
We can't wait for the Indiana Jones product to release.
Also, you won't believe this, but one of the Marilyn Monroe base cards really caught her eye, and I had to put it in a hard, magnetic case for her to display in her office. IT'S A BASE CARD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! LOL I'm so happy she's liking this stuff.

Here is the cut autograph and sketch cards (even got one of your sketches Ted!) from my first case. Very nice set! Lots of quality cards not getting respect on ebay yet (maybe since the cut autographs were mostly 3x5 between the packs in the box or 5x7 as case toppers instead of 2x3 and inserted into the packs?).

Mr Ted Dastick a question Sir:How do you go about imagining how you see a person and put it to sketch?? Since I`m sure most of the Breygent Artists where not alive to view the person they sketched,do you look at old movie posters and old movies to get your ideas ??
Any sneak previews of future products you are in ?? Will we find you and the Topps Indiana Jones Heritage sketches ??
BTW your Breakfast at Tiffany's is right on the money :)!
I as well as others thank you for finding time to come here and post.

I will have sketches in Indiana Jones Heritage, you can see them all in my Gallery on my site in my sig.
All the cards for the Movie Poster set had to be based on the posters. We had to get approval by the licensing company, then were only allowed to draw those that got approved. So if I submitted samples for 20 movies, and only 10 got approved, I'd only be allowed to draw those same 10 over and over.
Oh, and you don't have to call me Mr. ;)
