So I was waiting to post this mail thread until I got this card in hand, but since I just agreed to trade it away, no point in waiting any longer, but this is why it could have been a better mail thread if I waited for this to show up and was keeping it

Got this for a TOTAL STEAL, just $30 on comc and will get to send it out for the full set of Smitty plates. Can't beat 4 1/1's and a total plate set for less than $10 a plate, I'm guessing the seller didn't know you could send these out for the rest of the set

Man you're on a roll! Funny story, I actually saw both the National Treasures and then the 1/1 the day after or something. I strongly considered buying them, since I had nothing really of Stew for myself. I figured might as well let them go to someone who actually PC him (you're the only one I know). I'm just glad it was actually you who got them. Great stuff!

Like I said in the OP, while I bought that reebok 1/1 patch, I'm not going to get to keep it as I don't even have it yet, but it's already been traded away.

Why would I trade away a Stewart 1/1 you might ask?

Well I didn't trade away "A" Stewart 1/1, I traded away FOUR Stewart 1/1's :eek: :confused:

And while that may seem crazy to read coming from me, it will all make sense when I get to do my next mail day thread(s) probably on Monday.

If people have been paying attention, they could probably guess one of the cards I'm getting as it's been no secret how bad I want this card and I obviously wouldn't be trading that many Stewart 1/1's away without getting that specific card in return. But it's the other cards I'm getting in the deal that will make sense as to why this is all going down as well, which dbrown can attest to as he knows the trade I made

In 2012 Panini Black, they only put the black printing plates in the set.

If you pulled one (or bought one) you can then send that plate into Panini, and they will send it back to you along with the other 3 plates for that player so you have the full printing plate set.

So I just dropped the Smith off in the mail this morning and then in a week or two I'll get all 4 of them back in the mail.

Pretty cool idea, and why it was a total steal to pick that up for just $30, I've seen other players not as good as Smitty sell for $100 because it's really for all 4 plates and not just 1
