View Full Version : Traders Beware of Ssoni1 - Ridiculous new trader!

So I made a trader on Thursday and we both shipped out the cards. One of the cards I traded him was a 1/1 logoman and he asked what value I needed so I gave him a value I wanted for it and he said okay that is fine and we made the deal. He had 0 feedback and said I was trying to scam him so he wanted me to send first. Of course I said no way. I told him I would ship when I got the trackin from him. The whole time he just kept claiming I was trying to scam him.
Fast forward to Monday, we both received the cards and he sent me a text saying he got them. He leaves me a positive feedback saying that he was happy with the deal. So after that I just figured okay deal is good!
Today I get a text from him saying that the 1/1 was not worth quite as much as I asked. I just responded saying It is a 1/1, there is no value. It is worth whatever someone will give you for it.
He said I lied to him and I needed to make it right. But he also already sold the other card so he couldn't just trade back. There is nothing for me to make right. He decided he didn't want the logoman and he wants his card back, but he can't even get me my cards back just the 1/1.
He then proceeds to tell me that the condition on the logoman is awful and not as I described. So he supposedly got the card 3 days ago but he just now is saying the condition is bad after giving me a positive.
I would say maybe he might have missed something tiny but he sent me a picture. He ruined a perfectly good card. There is no way he got it like the picture shows and just decided to keep it.
He is now threatening to call the cops and file a police report and said he has a family member in my area that can take care of business. Avoid at all costs.

Hate to be so blunt, but why in heaven's name would you finish a deal with someone who initially said he thought you were trying to scam him?
If I was negotiating with someone and they accused or even implied that I was doing that, the conversation would end right there.
Seriously, you have to use the brain in situations like that. No trade is worth the hassles from people like that.

I saw his mailday thread for that card, Hank Blalock, right?
Anyway, I left a ''nice mailday mate'' message in the thread and he responded with a pm about trying to sell the card to me. No mention of poor condition. I told him i wasn't interested in the card.
This sounds like a serious case of buyers remorse to me.

Obviously the guy is busted at this point. I would just move on, this thread shows everyone not to deal with him. Be thankful it was a trade and not a sale, because he could involve paypal and get his money back for sure. It takes a pretty unstable person to call someone a scammer, agree to a trade, try to rescind the trade, then destroy a card in desperation.

Well the guy can;t be too young. He has been trading online for at least the last 8-9 years. He must be on other sites. Unless he went away for 5-6 years and all of a sudden popped back up. You do a bucket search through google and it pops up to an account on tradingcardcentral under T-Mac Rules.

I would ban both of these guys and just be done with it. Probably too late on the OP as that ship has already sailed but the buyer here not only tried to pull a scam on the op but he is continuing to try to scam other members by trying to get them to buy the card. "Good condition"? Really? Sorry kid but you destroyed that card. Blalock or not it pains me to see a 1/1 ruined because of an idiot. It isn't the sellers responsibility to establish the worth of something. That is 100% on the buyer. Do not blame others for your stupidity. Really doesn't matter as you will be banned shortly. Kind of surprised that it hasn't happened already. Btw, pick up your clothes off of the floor and take a freaking shower.

The value of the card prior to the trade was debatable. I'm sure if you asked 20 people .. you'd probably get many different answers. If you were really worried about it .. you should have asked BEFORE you traded. I see people do that all the time and there's no problem with it.
No doubt in my mind you damaged it because you were asking about value as soon as you received them.

If it would make you guys feel better, I will remove the listing as a whole. Just so you don't think i am "scamming". Anything else I can do for ya?

Retirement from the Hobby would be a nice gesture.

There should be a clear picture of the corner in the eBay listing or any listing. This card is far from near mint.

Why would he damage a 1/1 purposely? Makes little to no sense. Could it of been damaged in shipping?

Here's his claim on the condition of the card on his ebay listing...
"Card is in Nrmt condition, It does have small chip on top left corner, but hardly noticeable. Gorgeous Card."Am I the only one to notice that he says that the card has a chipped TOP LEFT CORNER? The damage I see in the close up scan is the TOP RIGHT CORNER, isn't it?

How was the card shipped? If the card was damaged in shipping, the mailer and the top loader would be mutilated.

Regardless of who damaged the card, it should not be listed for sale as near mint. The seller is not disclosing that this card has Rocky Dennis like imperfections.

Because he had buyers remorse after paying $300 for a Hank Blalock card that was worth $50 at the most. Look at the first picture he took after opening the package and bragging to Blowout about how it was the best day in his collecting career. There's clearly no damage to the top right corner that would resemble anything like what he's claiming is now on the card!

Youre wrong sir, I will take more pictures of the card. The Damage is very hard to see from the front, and you will see that. I suggest stop with the assumptions. or you won't get far in life.

Why would you be so happy about recieving it if it was damaged? Why would you post it for trade ore sale? Why would you leave positive feedback? How is that slight damage? Why did you not disclose the "slight" damage until today in your other thread? Please answer these questions. The only angle that card would look good at is one that didn't show that corner at all.

I'm done on this thread. My point is very clear, and I will put better pictures on eBay to magnify the damage. Thanks

Been biting my tongue here, but have to add:
Taking pictures NOW doesn't show the damage or lack of when you got the card.
Positive Itrader was left, at least 1 picture of the card which shows no damage was loaded here, the card has been pimped out to many others who just posted "nice card" in the thread, the other cards from the trade just happened to have been sold so the trade cannot be undone. There has been no mention of damage at all until you tried to send it back. Only you know the real reason, we can only speculate.
Low Itrader here and Ebay isn't helping as well as asking OP to send first, when you are the newer member.
Can OP show pictures of the card prior to mailing? How was it mailed? Where is the holder or one touch which the card was mailed in?
Looks like someone wanted to swap out the logo or already did and fudged up the card big time.
OP where did you get the card?
NR-MT is not close, that would fall under Poor, only a hardcore collector would want that now.
Fail on both sides IMO.

Can you also change your description to severely damaged top RIGHT corner, instead of saying minor chipping on the top left corner?
Unless there is minor chipping on the top left corner in addition to the messed up top right corner...just saying...

It already has lasted longer than it should have. I don't see a reason he isn't banned yet.

What's odd id this person only had three posts there and no itrader. So, why was he banned there? I just PM'd the OP to see if I could get more info on this individual so I can do more research. I have found a lot of things, just want to confirm I have the correct individual.
