He's had offers, but he's said he won't take a job just to take one (AKA, a bad BCS job). Pretty soon, if a job doesn't come his way, he might end up the next MSU head coach.

The NW final TD hurt, but if Nebraska or NW can beat MSU and then scUM beats Nebraska, which should happen, then the MSU/Gophers game would be for the title shot, assuming Gophers beat Wisconsin and Ped State which should definitely happen. Lots of ifs, but still a possibility.

That is impossible to judge since they don't play any common opponents. Maybe the ACC is tougher conf and miami is better then Mich St? Or maybe the big 10 is tougher then many think this year and Mich St is the better team? I personally think the big 10 is very weak this year and all those average teams are just beating each other.
