Has your PC guy/prospect of choice ever crapped the bed overnight?

We talk a lot about failed prospect choices, busts, guys who didn't pan out over a little while, but in light of my PC guy's pretty awful showing last night for Green Bay I got to wondering if there were any good stories about PC guys who just kind of killed their value overnight.

It's one thing to Ryan Leaf/Blaine Gabbert/JaMarcus Russell it up and be bad despite consistent chances...it's another to just thoroughly disappoint on all levels for one game to the point that people suggest Brett Favre come back from retirement and replace you. I'm thinking any Vikings collectors who took a chance on Josh Freeman before his laugher this year...Matt Dodge collectors (do they exist?) after he punted to DeSean Jackson so many years ago...O.J. Simpson collectors following his whole deal (lol). Just really any good stories where a guy you collected/prospected was given the limelight and just completely blew it. Basically I guess I'm looking for all time worst single game performances and the people who were collecting that player at the time. :turkey:

Crapped the bed overnight would be like Titus Young getting arrested for burglary or whatever he got arrested for. A minor 3 week setback of a Super Bowl winning QB is not "crapping the bed" :p

I use to PC Aaron Hernandez. Had a huge collection and dumped it off cheap to some guy at the flea market.

For a guy who did not participate in OTAs and rarely takes first-team reps, I thought he looked pretty good.

Coming in on MNF, against your divisional rival, for Aaron Rodgers - its a tough stage to set.

I agree it was tough, but it was still pretty arguably the 2nd worst QB performance of the year (with Freeman's Vikings game being the worst). I definitely have high hopes for next week with Seneca getting first team reps and a better feel for the 1st team guys, but last night was pretty bad.

How about my main guy Michael Clayton. 80 recptions for almost 1200 yards and 7 TDs his rookie year. He never had more than 40 receptions, 500 yards or 1 TD in any season the rest of his career. Not sure what happened, I thought he was going to be an elite WR for years to come.

That's pretty good. I'm looking more like one game wonders, i.e. they had it one day or looked okay one day and then SPLAT but one year wonders work too.

Ouch, you beought up my "other" guy. No just duplicates, I have quite a bit I've been unloading. I got like $10 / 3-color RPA on Weeden. It stinks knowing what went in to the collection, but I am out to own one of every OSU card so they'll stay.

I had my Hillmans, but I sold my collection because i wanted to use those funds and get some higher-end PC items. he didn't exactly suck overnight (fumbling was an issue last year) but his prices definitely dropped quite a bit

My Mikel Leshoure collection has taking its roller coaster rides. I remember when his second weed arrest came out in the news and now he doesn't even suit up every game and....to boot the Lions won't trade him because they like the insurance.

agree with the leshoure boat, roller coaster ride at it's best. glad i dumped the pc when i did.

as for the hernandez guys how did you miss the boat? i had 4-5 autos that sold at $10-13 on release and all went for $25 or more after he got busted. guessing you held too long or hoping he was innocent?

My A-train collection.....he won rookie of the year over Brees/Vick/Tomlinson/etc... in 2001 carrying a crap Bears offense for 3 years and then just disappeared after the Bears got Thomas Jones,who didn't do anything really either. A-train did try to come back on the Bills/Saints/Cowboys/Bills but they already had younger RB's by then.
