I'm not defending the buyer here at all as that is absurd to pay at that price for a guy with one very good start, but at least Keenum has two starts under his belt and looked very good in one of those starts. Look at all the baseball people paying absurds amount of money for guys who haven't even stepped foot on a Major League field yet. Investment or not, you taking big gambles paying well over $100 for an Oscar Taveras base chrome auto when the guy isn't even in the Bigs yet.

Its what I like to refer to as the "More money then brains" kind of buyer.

I can buy a Joe Montana AND Tony Dorsett auto for $100.

I know its not the same sport as Taveras but you get the point.

Its kinda like the whole group that think Andrew Luck Contenders will hold value like a Brady Contenders. Um..........no they wont.For 3 simple reasons.

#1-Brady was a 6th round pick that nobody saw coming.Everyone is already aware of Lucks talent. Luck cards are not thrown in the common bin like Bradys were, only to be discovered when he started playing well. There is no such thing as a "diamond in the rough" anymore

#2-2000 Contenders are very condition sensitive.Hence there are 0 9.5 Bradys. There is already over 50 9.5 Lucks. Just a guess but I would say that or maybe more. I am too lazy to look.

#3-Rookie Autos were just starting back then. Now..well Luck has over 22,000 autograph cards available.............yes, do the math, 22,000
