Anyone have any word about either guy signing their cards?

Ruiz is pretty clearly a case of he just hasn't signed yet... Any hope that he will?

Goodwin is another story - no base autos have surfaced for sale, but refractors on up are out there. Is it possible he signed refractors and above only? Does this bode well for the idea that he will have base cards signed eventually or more likely that he's signed what he's going to sign and that's all?

I don't see Topps spending the money to get these lower-tier guys in the offseason. It costs a bunch of money for them to fly a rep out to watch them sign. I would bet Ruiz won't sign until Spring Training.

Sure wish they'd get it done, though, as I'm waiting on 45 base, 17 refractors, and 2 blue refractors of Ruiz.

If I had them in my hand right now I think I could nearly double my money, and that's not counting the ones that would be gradeable. My average base auto price is $4.50, and they get nearly $8 - $10 now, and might get even more if they were live.

I am an Astros fan and was looking for a lower-tier prospect to stock up on and bought a bunch of his stuff because I loved his upside at those prices.

I actually asked Rio at a MWL playoff game if he had gotten them signed yet. He said he already signed them and sent them back to topps. That was in early September.

He told me the same thing on Twitter a few months back, but Topps has told me multiple times since then that they have not even sent the cards to him yet. I think that maybe he might be getting mixed up with some Panini or Leaf cards he signed.

I'm at the point with Goodwin where maybe it would be good if he doesn't sign his base cards then his color will carry a premium. Regardless got like 20 incoming.

Just got off the phone with Topps about Ruiz, and they're still telling me that the cards "are not ready". My follow-up question was "are they not ready as in he hasn't signed them? or are they not ready as in he has signed them and there's just a delay on your end in shipping them out?" The answer is, as is often the case with Topps, "I don't know".

I just wanted to emphasize that there's an important distinction to be made in my discussion with Topps. I asked about Rio Ruiz card status and the answer was "the cards aren't ready", and when I asked about Anthony Rendon cards, they said "the cards aren't signed".

So MAYBE there is hope that he has actually signed them, but that there is a hold up at Topps. I actually called back and asked the gentleman to reach out to someone who can tell us what's going on. He's going to send an email and forward me the response. I'm not holding my breath, but he has about 48 hours before I'm calling back again to follow up

Goodwin's only redemptions were base and some refractors numbered to 500.
Some of his autos to 500 and the colored refractor autos were in packs and not redemptions.

My Ruiz was in the mailbox today... Yeah! Still nothing on Goodwin. Just says redemption entered. My Tyler Heinmann says pending...

Anyone know what the difference is between pending and redemption entered?
