Found these at a thrift store this morning. I couldn't leave them there. Two books by Bert Sugar. One is from 1977 and the other from 1982. The 77 book has 98 classic cards and the 82 has National League classics. The cards are perforated for removal. All original size and has full front and back. States reprint on the bottom back.
Here is one cover:

Reprint cards are done extremely well. All have a high gloss finish. Here are a few choice ones:

Who collects things like this? They are well done, but they are reprints and reprints can be found everywhere.

Anyone have any ideas (or comments) about these?

As reprints, there is no collector value. I think these has been reprinted every year since they first published.

There are plenty of copies on Amazon for 1 cent + 3.99 shipping.

I would argue there is collector value, just not high value. For someone like myself who looks for anything with Nap Lajoie in it it is collectable.

When you can buy it shipped for $4, I guess there is about $4 collector value for someone who wants cheap low-quality reprints in their collection.

I should have said no investment value.

Maybe you could oh so carefully slice open a PSA case for one of these (I think some guys down in the penitentiary would be up for figuring that out for you, they have a little free time on their hands), oh so carefully trim the perforated edges (I hear Wayne Gretzky might know of someone who could hook you up with a good surgeon there), and throw it back up on the bay as one of the most beautifully colorful Cracker Jack cards ever discovered. You know, only as a novelty item. Not be re-sold. Nunnh-uhh, never. Who would ever try such a thing?

But anyhow, I'd probably buy that for $4 if I ran across one in person, as I have never seen it before this thread. I would enjoy it, particularly after about 4 cups of coffee I think, when those little cards would be starting to vibrate. Thanks for posting.
